I have used this book to teach harmonica for over four years. It is very simple, inexpensive and doesn't get involved in so much nonsense, a common flaw in beginning harmonica books. There could be far more songs--far more extensive tips--but it is a small, easy to carry book, and decisions had to be made about content. It does have enough tips and songs to serve the beginner well. I've used it--and continue to use it.

I found the book very easy to read and helpful. It has anything from cleaning your harmonica to music. Within a few hours I had learned almost half the book, before hand I never knew how to play a song on a harmonica. I would reccommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to play a harmonica quickly.

No real advanced harmonica lessons in this little book, but the price is right and it a good start for the harp beginner. Also going for it, the book has a lot of songs set in simple harmonica notation.

good product for the price; I memorized 2 of the tunes in it already, and I can easily follow a few more or the advanced ones in the book. contains some recognizable favorites; the authors system/tablatuure is easy to follow

This approach is the best I've seen for teaching harmonica, especially to those with no prior music education.

My father, who is 70, was delighted to get this book. He's had a harmonica for years, and has actually started playing again. He says he should be able to use this book easily.

I'm a beginner, and I started with this book. The notation and the introductory texts in the book are good, but the song tabs simply are not challenging enough. I know the book is made for beginners, but many of the important notes in songs are left out or over-simplified. I've had to improvise on a few in order to play more accurately.

I just think the songs aren't as challenging as they need to be in order for improvement to be seen. Yes, it's a good introduction to the harmonica. But it will keep you a beginner.

My husband got a harmonica for his birthday but had no idea how to play. He can't read music and quickly got discouraged. This book taught him to play songs and now he plays his harmonica all the time. Yay!
