Best Curling Iron Ever,
By A Customer
This review is from: Instant Heat Curling Iron, 1-Inch (Health and Beauty)
I bought this product because it indicated 30 second heat up time. It is great. You plug it in, hit the on button, select a heat level (1-15) , and in less than 30 seconds it is hot. No more waiting around for the iron to heat up. Quick touch ups take no time at all. I'll never go back to the "old style" plug and wait.

Piece of Junk,

This review is from: Instant Heat Curling Iron, 1-Inch (Health and Beauty)
OK, so after reading all of the reviews on this product my wife buys one. Well, in about 6 weeks the iron won't heat anymore. Sent it in got a new one because of the 2 year warranty (cost $10.00 for shipping & handling plus they wanted $3.00 for themselves). She used it about 4 months and then the little spring breaks. Having used other curling irons over the years and having had to replace the springs, we thought to call Conair and have them send us a replacement spring, about a $.10 item which takes about 60 seconds to replace. Well, they no longer sell the springs. The wanted to have us pack it up again and spend another $10.00 for shipping AND send them $3.00 to boot. Who are they kidding? What kind of service are they giving their customers. I will never buy another Conair product. I gave this product only one star because I couldn't go any lower.

Best curling iron I've found but don't turn it up to number 15!,
I am the kind of person who will splurge on cosmetics and beauty products and feel it's worth it so I don't necessarily look for the bargain buy in this area but the best working product.
Fortunately, this curling iron is not only priced well for the value, it beats out the "old school" curling irons I've used for the last 30 years. I actually bought mine at Walgreens for a higher price after reading about it in a magazine. Unlike any other iron I've used this one actually heats up in...wait for it....wait for it....30 SECONDS!!! You can also choose your heat level from 1-15 but be leary of that 15---that is a scorcher. However, some may be looking for that high of a heat. I keep it around the medium to medium high numbers and it curls in an instant. And I have uber thick hair. Touch ups are instant rather than waiting for the iron to heat up. If I am going out and find I've missed a spot I can basically now instantly reheat the iron and have it hot 30 seconds after I turn it on. Negative: I'm probaby odd in that I always hold my curling iron real close to the barrel. Because of this a few times I've accidentally turned the heat level without trying. Not a big deal, but something I'd change if I could to make the wheel maybe a little harder to turn. Conclusion: tops in my book. I won't go back to the curling irons of the past where I have to wait for them to heat. Instant gratification, baby! :-)

I LOVE this curling iron. It is great but after several years the spring will break inside and you need to replace. I bought this and when I received I found out that Conair has replaced the metal stand that is in the picture with a cheap little piece of plastic that does not even hold up the curling iron. I have to return because it ruins the whole product. Beware, I also went to Target and that is how they are making them now. They need to correct the picture. UPDATE: They now went back to making the kickstand BUT they have this new MULTI LAYER BARREL. I tried one and it sticks to your hair. Seriously, why would they make a barrel that does not slide on your hair????

This product has a very light weight cord that I have not ever seen on any curling iron or small type appliance before. I tossed the package it came in or I would send it back. It works some times and other times it doesn't, like there is a short in it. Don't waste your money.

I needed a dual voltage curling iron and found this on Amazon. I had read that others found the temperature control move when they used it, but I didn't have that issue. It heats up very quickly and worked fine on the 220v in Brazil.

Best I've used so far,
This review is from: Instant Heat Curling Iron, 1 1/4-Inch (Health and Beauty)
Okay, I'll admit that I'm not extremely good at curling my hair for some reason. I can't tell if it's just lack of talent on my part, or if my hair just won't have any of it. Anyway, with this curling iron my hair actually holds a curl, and holds it well. They don't look perfect - which may be my fault - but I've tried a few curling irons and so far I've seen the best result come from this one.

Junk,
This review is from: Instant Heat Curling Iron, 1-Inch (Health and Beauty)
The first one I bought used it and loved it. The second time I went to use it I started to smell something burning. OK so I pulled the plug and waited and then tried it again. Wouldn't even get hot. Emailed Conair and wasted time with them so I just returned it to the store. I went and got another one this week and it worked the first time and the second time I couldn't get it even to warm up. So back it goes. What are the odds of it happening twice unless they can from the same batch? Does that make sense. Lets try for the third time and see what happens.

My first curler ...,

I have pin-straight hair and always loved it but lately I have been playing around with different styling for it and needed a curler so my hair will stay put better. Anyway, once I got this curler I looked at it caught myself trying to figure out how to use that thing I had never even used one or seen someone in person use one, it seemed like it was a thing from outer space. After a little playing around and looking some videos up online I kind of figured it out and it looked OK (but I think that was mainly my lack of talent on how to use that thing). Well now to my actual review... I think it is a solid buy, but if you have not used one before or don't know anyone that can show you do some research on it and what kind of curler would be best to buy, the clip on it throws me off every time because I am scared to burn my hair if I get it tangled in the clip.
The instructions on it could be more detailed so even first time users understand it easier. What I loved about this curler though is the little stand that is attached to it so you don't have to put it down on the counter when it is hot. ! I hope this review helped you a little Summery: Do your research on how to use one and what curler is best, I didn't think it was that hard to use a curler but I was wrong :)

I will not waste my money again, i love my hair curled but this thing does not work. I have very thick hair and its wavy to so i know its not the easiest thing to curl so i take very very little strands and curl them. Well this curling iron only works on half of it, it only gets hot about half way up. Also once i finally get it curled it comes out in the next hour. I wouldnt recomend this at all.
