5.0 out of 5 stars Best curling brush ever!
I love this curling brush. It heats up super quickly, has so many settings and a turbo heat button for an extra shot of heat on hard to curl areas. I use it in the morning to straighten out kinks from sleeping, straighten and smooth my hair, flip it under or out, or add some waves. It has a nice long cord, too. I think a brush is less damaging than a curling iron...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but Not Best
This brush works as advertised, but I find it less satisfactory than either a curling iron or a hot air brush. There is no curl release as on a hot air brush, and each curl much be completely un-wound separately. For me, it's harder to keep the hair in place with this than with a regular curling iron. Just personal preferences, but this would be my third choice of the...

I think a brush is less damaging than a curling iron because there's no clamp and you don't hold it in the same place as long. If you haven't tried a brush, this is the one to try. Note that this is a brush that heats up, NOT a brush that blows hot air - it's for use on dry hair only.

5.0 out of 5 stars Conair Heat Brush!!!, October 29, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
So, I am a consumer that likes to read reviews before I buy things, especially off the internet. I came across the many positve reviews on this product and since I was looking specifically for a heated hair brush to replace my **Air** heated curling brush/hair dryer I decided that I'd get this model. After a week of owning this I am sooo happy I bought it!It heats up super fast compaired to any reguler curling iron I've tried. The ease that comes from styling my hair VS. trying to blow dry/curl at the same time saves me time overall too which is important for any lady that wants to look good quick. My hair has a more finished smooth look to it VS. the air heated brush which leaves my hair a bit frizzy and not a lot of curl at all. Best of all, if I let my normally fairly straight hair air dry completly this product by itself smooths out the waves and leaves me with great soft curls that last. Shipping was quick, this product delivers desired results, the price is right on and I am even thinking about getting one of these as a gift for my mom. I recommend this highly to anyone that wants that extra dazzle for their hair.

SANDI (Paramus, NJ USA) - See all my reviews
Does everything features listed...Auto shut off/turbo heat in less 1 minute !!
for best results do not use the hot brush with wet hair, my hair using this brush is shine & looks free of static or frizz!!
This my personal opinion if you want nice, soft and shine hair do not use hair dryer...i have Black Hair soft and shine but when use Hair dryer looks terrible like lion hair!! Always i use hot brushes take little long time but is better.
When i saw this brush with Dual Voltage $9.99 and free shipping!! I bought two and now i ordered one more!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool tip or not - you can get burnt, December 16, 2005
I don't like to blow dry my hair, nor do I like to walk around with wet hair courting colds. This hot brush is a good alternative. The wide range of temperature is a really good feature. Its good for the price and does all that is advertised, but you have to be careful with the tip - you can still get burnt regardless of the "cool tip" feature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for!, January 9, 2007
After a lot of searching, I finally found the product I had been wanting. The brush holds in the many layers of my shoulder-length hair, and with the larger diameter, it results in soft curls and curves. It heats up quickly, plus it has a plastic cap on the end so I don't burn my fingers. I highly recommend this hot brush for those with longer hair that don't want tight curls.

Does everything as advertized. Love the turbo feature that speeds up the heating process to less than one minute.

5.0 out of 5 stars Conair Curling Brush 3/4" Dual Voltage, November 11, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My wife and I just returned from a tour of Spain. I purchased this curling brush for our trip. It was dual voltage and that is the reason for my purchase. It worked superbly all through Spain. There was no switch you had to turn for the 220 voltage. The curling brush adjusts to 110 or 220 automatically. Very satisfied with this product and would recommend it for foreign travel.

I really enjoy this curling iron. My hair type is very curley and it takes for ever to straighten. This Conair brush is amaizing and I am so pleased I have finally found something that allows me to go either way. Making this purchase you will not go wrong! Thanks CONAIR!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for big curls!, January 2, 2008
After looking for larger curling brushes in retail stores, I almost
gave up my search! They are just not out there anymore, big or small.
Amazon.com never disappoints me; they have them in every shape and size.
This Conair BC86RCS 1 1/4" is the best! I have very fine shoulder length hair that has some natural wave. This curling brush is wonderful because it gets very hot; (unlike some curling brushes)the heat is adjustable and it has a large knob on the end to hold on to. The 1 1/4" is a great size for my hair...not too big; it gives a great wave and curl; and not too small to get tangled in my fine hair. I'm ordering another one for my travel bag!

5.0 out of 5 stars This Works Great!, October 10, 2010

KK Vegas (Las Vegas, NV USA) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Instant Heat Hot Brush, 1 1/4-Inch (Health and Beauty)
I've tried both hot air brushes and curling irons, and this beats them both. I have very fine straight hair and this brush is perfect for me. I had a problem with hot air brushes because the force of the air (even on low) would tend to blow my hair away from the brush. And a curling iron would always leave a crimp, no matter how quickly a slid it down my hair.

This hot brush gives my hair curls/waves just where I want them and is fast and easy to use. I just brush it through a section of hair until I reach the ends and then twist my wrist to curl my hair around the brush. It only takes a few seconds to give me the nice wave I want. Because there is nothing except the brush to hold the hair in place (which is good for me because it eliminates the crimp), I have to be careful not to burn my fingers as I tuck under the ends of my hair. I'm actually thinking about getting a heat resistant glove to protect myself.

Another thing I like (which is kind of silly and more useful than I would have expected) is that the plug is a regular plug, not one of those surge protector boxy things. This allows me to plug it into the top plug to heat up while my blow dryer is plugged into the bottom plug. With my old curling iron, I would have to use two separate outlets.

In short, I'm really happy with my purchase. This hot brush is reasonably priced and works great.
