Good for the money. But I have important information!,

This product has a lot to offer but it also has quality control problems.
First- let me say this program has a DVD Rom and DVD interactive. Your computer must read this format because most programs in the market are CD Rom. Second- I had some problems with the DVD Rom freezing up at the login screen but I e-mailed technical support for help[...]. They were fast and very helpful with solving this problem. Third- I had to download an added fix on a site they gave me and it worked. Warning!!!: You have to know a little bit about computers because it is not easy to follow the many steps. This was not that easy but not overwhelming. Fourth- It has a read-me manual which is read off of the computer. Why sell a product which they know has issues and needs added downloads right from the start (My wife asked me that question. My answer to her was- You're asking me?)? My computer is a simple XP home media operating system and I had a problem. What happens if you have a Vista operating system? After all that, the program is good with lots of in depth learning. It has everything you would need to learn another language but you do have to search for the topics and learn how to use this software.

I was disappointed in this program. It has many different components so you get impression that you get a lot for your money. But, none of the components is especially good. You get a smattering of exercises here and there, but none of it with any depth or coordination. It's sort of a sampler, more of a demo than a course.

Not what I was expecting,

I had a Spanish program with a similar name, and when we got a new computer loaded with Vista, I discovered that like most other software, it wasn't compatible. I bought Instant Immersion Deluxe v3.0 thinking it was the next generation of the other program. It's not. This program features interactions between Castillian speakers but little to help you grasp and remember what they are saying. I don't recommend this program unless you find immersion training helpful. Instead, I recommend Visual Link Spanish, which includes many visuals to help cement the new language in your brain.

The product is great and I love how much comes with the product, however, the main disk works with DVD rom drives, not CD rom drives which is what I have so make sure you have the right drive before you buy it.

Impresive Spanish Language Teaching Software,
This review is from: Instant Immersion Spanish Deluxe v3.0 (DVD-ROM)
Instant Immersion Spanish is the ultimate Spanish software program. I've been working with it for a few months now and my Spanish is coming together very well. I'm headed to Europe for an extended trip next year and will spend a good amount of time in Spain. This system offers on number of different ways to learn, which makes the process much more effective. The software portion is interactive and even critiques your speaking through a microphone. There are videos and audio, with loads of examples and phrases. Included in the package is a DVD with is fun and has been helpful when learning. There are also CDs included I've been working on when driving or running. There is also a fun game to test your progress, which is the icing on the cake. Well done.

Those who really try get great results!! Those who want push button results fail.,

The reviewers that failed to score this high have one thing in common, they expected to be speaking a forgein language without working at it!
If you put in the time and yes, EFFORT, this is a great program! The "push-a-button-for-instant-success" crowd will fail at this and all other programs that they have to actually put some effort into. I have Rosetta Stone and this program is much better and more enjoyable.

Great value on a terrific program!,
This review is from: Instant Immersion Spanish Deluxe v3.0 (DVD-ROM)
The software is great and my Spanish is improving by leaps and bounds. The exercises are clear and interesting, and online help is very useful. I transferred the audio CD content to my mp3 player and I'm using it to learn and practice to and from work and at lunch. You get 8 audio CDs which contain the basics of grammar, useful expressions etc, which are spoken by a bilingual woman. The CD ROMS use several native speakers and allows you to isolate both sentences and words in a sentence, repeat them over and over, and also has a high tech speech evaluation program if you're computer is equipped with a microphone. This allows you to check your speech by a visible phonogram and computer evaluation. So overall, this is a sophisticated product. Overall though, this course is quite impressive.

Great well-rounded system,
This review is from: Instant Immersion Spanish Deluxe v3.0 (DVD-ROM)
I'm headed to Europe later this winter on business for a month and wanted to learn some basics to help me get by. Even if you're obviously an American, I've found if you make an effort, the locals treat you a lot better. I'm headed to Southern France, Spain and then up to Germany, so I got all three languages. The thing I really like about these programs is the different approaches included in each. The software program is very step-by-step. I found the pedagogy easy to follow and intuitive. I suggest starting with the main software program. It even critiques your speaking with a microphone, so if you don't have one, it is worth the $20. It helps with pronunciation and I'm learning to communicate, not just be able to read. The DVD included is also good. It is a little lighter than the software program, but is fun and reinforces some of the things I learned. The audio CDs are a very important part. I put them on when stuck in traffic and find the repetition is very effective. I also like the game included as it is fun and is helping me along. My French and Spanish are getting to a comfortable speaking level and I'll be onto German in-time for my trip.

A little disappointed.,

I had an old version of Instant Immersion that didn't work with Vista, so I was excited when this came out. However, it doesn't seem to have the puzzles and games in Spanish that I liked so much before. I also didn't realize that it is mostly audio CD's and only one DVD-ROM of lessons. Not real impressed with the format so I haven't used it too much yet. I'm sure it will help me more than NO lessons, but it really isn't "fun" to learn. Just watch people recite phrases, then take a quiz. Yawn.

Waited and invested more in a better program! its only my first day but I am absolutly lost and discouraged. I dont even know where to begin? I took Rossetta Stones sample lesson and I still remember the turkish words I went over on it. This program has no starting point? & What is the use of a whole DVD dedicated to short phrases.... I don't friggen have the memory to memorize all those waiste of time sentences. I just waisted [...] bucks this sucks so far! Wait get something better! they should have a starting point clearly layed out. I shouldent be looking for where to begin for 2 hours? Bogus & once I did find the supposid starting points it was not even a fraction as clear/involved/informative/ brain branding as my sample Rosetta stone demo! two thumbs way down. If I keep searching and find something good to say I'll surly let you know. I was excited 2 hours ago coming home to it on my porch now I'm already feeling like giving up on it!
