Amazingly simple and readable,
By
This review is from: The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth (Paperback)
I picked up this book and read it all the way through in about 2 hours. I usually stop and think while I read, so it took me longer to read this than normal. This is a very short and simple book. It's written in very easy to understand language. It's basically a story about a young man who meets a millionaire and learns the "secret" to being a millionaire. I hate to give away the punchline, but the title of the book "Instant Millionaire" simply means that when you decide to become a millionaire and write that down as a goal with a deadline, that act in and of itself will make you an instant millionaire because before you can achieve it, you must first believe that it is possible and then set that as a goal. Of course you have to take all that on faith. In terms of self-help books, there's not a whole lot of new information in here. If you've read "Think and Grow Rich" and "The Richest Man in Babylon" you kind of get the same information. I do recommend this book because it's nice and short and easy to read. It made me think long and hard, and part way through my first reading, I found myself stopping and writing down some goals. Unfortunately, with many self-help books, we tend to just read them and do nothing after that. If you like this sort of book, I also recommend "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles. I'm giving this book 5 stars simply because I really liked it. There's nothing really new under the sun, but I like when somebody comes along and says it differently. It's easy to read and reread. The style of the book being that of a story made it that much more interesting. After reading it through, I find myself wanting to read it again. I did pick up a couple of good pieces of information from this book as well, so it's not completely a rehash of other stuff.

A fable that will double your income,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth (Paperback)
This book is outstanding. If you're looking for "the secrets of wealth", you'll find this book to be exactly what you're looking for. I think it's obvious that these secrets exist: if all the money in the U.S. were evenly distributed to every person, you would find that, in six months, we'd again have an upper, middle and lower-class....and they'd probably be the same people that occupy those "classes" now.
Why? Quite simply because wealthy people know something that the average person doesn't know. They know the secrets of wealth. And that's what you'll find in this book. Some of my fellow reviewers said this book was "too simple" or lacked "strategies". On the contrary, this book, unlike so many others of the same vein, actually gives practical steps on how to achieve the income of your desires. Naturally, you will need to fill in the own details about the business that you find yourself working in; but the principles are the same and they are laid out here very clearly. Too simple? I don't think so. The principles of success are actually quite simple. If there is a difficult part, it's changing your life-long habits of scarcity into new habits of wealth consciousness. Also, it should be noted that the book is in a fable format which is much more readable than the text of some of the older, more "classic" texts, such as "Think and Grow Rich". I'm not saying anything against the classic books, only that this modern interpretation gives much of the same information. I would recommend anyone who loves "The Instant Millionaire" to immediately get a copy of Think and Grow Rich if they haven't read it. Incidentally, I credit this book with my success as an entrepreneur. The use of the ideas in this book allowed me to start from scratch in one business and create an annualized six-figure income in less than 6 months. It works.

If you only ever read one self-help book make it this one,

The best book by far I have read on self development, and I have trawled through a fair few in my time. The format of a tale or fable works very well and happily avoids the pitfalls of pretentiousness and self indulgence that other books of this nature are prone. The answers and principles contained within are not new of course but the way in which these are presented have an impact like no other book. For anyone interested in improving themselves, financially or otherwise, this book really is a must read.

This is an interesting book that it is writtten in the One Minute Manager type writing and I'm not saying it's a bad book. It's a fast read, give yourself a couple of hours and you'll be through it and if this is one of your first self-help books GREAT! I was hoping for more. Especially reading the other reviews. There are some good things in this book. Writting down goals has long been proven effective and to work. But, I've read this before in Unlimited Wealth, which has more to it and other Tony Robbins books as well as other authors.I do plan on reading another one of Mark Fisher's books to see if there is more going on. I would recommend the Aladin Factor, Unlimted Wealth, the Wealthy Barber, Feel the Fear and do it Anyway, before I would recommend this book. It's not bad... it's just that you can get this in other books and even more! And if you your asking... why does he seem to be the only one baggin on this book? I don't know... the reason I got this book is becuase of the other reviews. I guess I've read so many of these that I'm still searching for REALLY good ones and that's getting harder and harder to find :-)

It is hard to accurately gauge the potential impact of The Instant Millionaire, but it is clearly a work that penetrates the depths of human wisdom and understanding. The fact that the author has "walked the walk" and literally applied the program personally is even more encouraging. I first read this book six years ago, and I have not found anything to surpass it as far as hard-core financial and life-success truths. One hates to use hackneyed phrases, but this really should be required reading, at least in the high school and college business programs. In addition, the story is one of the most enchanting business fables ever written.

The Best Book You'll Ever Read,
This review is from: The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth (Paperback)
I've read several self help books. Infact, I've read well over 100 self help books and I'm not that old. ;-)
I have to say that The Instant Millionaire is by far the best book that I've ever read. I'm actually carrying it around with me just as I do my Bible; which I hold to be most sacred. This book will answer your questions with practical answers on how to be a successful, happy, and peaceful person. If you only buy one more book your entire life, I recommend that it's The Instant Millionaire. My life has been both blessed and changed by it.

I first read this book five years ago. I was so impressed and excited by the book's principles that I urged several like-minded friends to buy the book, and I sat down and listed my goals and my plan to become a millionaire, more as a fun, silly exercise than anything else. (For fun, I bought myself and a good friend those fake but nice-looking million dollar bills, and we wrote ourselves checks for twenty-five million dollars!)Five years later, it is positively CREEPY how those original goals are mysteriously coming true. I'm exactly where I'd told myself I would be -- I have a net worth of just over a quarter of a million dollars, and I'm on track to become a millionaire by age 30 -- which is just mind-blowing to me! I recommend that you buy this book for the underlying principles, but also buy Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad series. The Rich Dad books take the principles in the Instant Millionaire a step further and bridge the gap between what I call "the principles," which can seem kind of hocus-pocus if you don't understand why they work, and putting them into action. A footnote...I had lost touch for a few years with one of the friends I'd urged to read this book (the one I gave the million-dollar bill to). We caught up with each other a few months ago (and have become close friends again), but I found out that she had never implemented the suggestions in the Instant Millionaire (I suppose they seemed too simplistic and too good to be true). Sadly, she is still renting, still living paycheck-to-paycheck, and still in ever-mounting debt. She seemed impressed with my success (which I'm careful not to flaunt!) but seems to think it was all good luck, or specific career skills, or something. I hope I can convince her this time that she needs to READ AND APPLY THIS BOOK and she can experience the same mind-blowing success!!!

Practical wisdom told in a simple parable,
By Milton Drepaul "Milton Drepaul-AlphaMax Academy" (Toronto, Ontario Canada) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth (Paperback)
Sometimes we need to learn essential truths in story form. The Instant Millionaire is a book that is easy to read through to the end. Within its pages are the building blocks for creating wealth and a happier life.
People who are fans of self help books will recognize quickly ideas already put forward by Napoleon Hill in his classic 'Think and Grow Rich' or by many other authors like Stuart Wilde. The charm of the Instant Millionaire is that even a child can read it. The vital elements to successful manifestation of wealth are all presented in vivid story form. So we learn of the power of visualising, how fear destroys creativity, the importantce of repetition and that the really important things in life are simple like appreciating the beauty of a rose. I first read this book in 1991 after coming upon it by chance in a bookstore in Manchester. I shared it with some friends including two who were just 9 and 12 years old when they read it.Even though both have since done exceptionally well academically they have since started their own businesses. One is publishing her book next month and the other is releasing her first album of songs in the summer. They have both said that the book that first dramatically changed their thinking about wealth creation was the Instant Millionaire. I have fond memories of this book and its principles have changed me.

Insight on reaching your full potential,
By Martin Perrien (Littleton, CO United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth (Paperback)
The Instant Millionaire - A Tale Of Wisdom And Wealth, by Mark FisherSimply put, 15 chapters of mystery, theory, and psychology. If this doesn't open your mind to a new reality and perspective on your financial self-worth, I don't think anything will. Mr. Fisher writes this fable in the same style and format of bedtime stories that you listened to as a kid. The author is in fact a self-made millionaire that implemented this process himself in his own life. This story is based on Mark Fishers experience when he met an old man who passed on his secret to success to Mark. The bottom line is that financial prosperity and a life well-lived are goals we can all achieve if we understand and practice the principles of success. I highly recommend this book, and suggest you read it to your spouse or children at bed time, as it is an adult fable to be remembered.

Just buy it - buy it today. Read it tonight...,
By
This review is from: The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth (Paperback)
I'll say what was said to me regarding this book: Just buy it. Buy it today. It's not a long book. And that's great. ...because you are going to find you'll want to read it many times. One of the most successful people I know said, "Just buy it - buy it today. Read it tonight..." and she is not one to run her mouth about much or make strong recommendations of anything without compelling reasons. This is a modern fable in its style, and like a classic fable, its message is much bigger, deeper & more resonant than its brevity would lead one to believe. Some might disregard a book like this one, thinking the title too simplistic or the concepts already well-covered by writers such as Napoleon Hill. That would be a shame, because in this thin package is a volume of insight & confirmation regarding the powers of belief, vision and the unconscious mind. This is a simple story, with a powerful message - most powerful to those open to it, and not preoccupied with some other self-limiting issues. Whether the story told here is new to you or a fresh telling of one of the great parables you've studied in other forms, you'll find in this book a prize worth sharing with others, as I've felt since it was first shared with me. And if you enjoy this one, another book you'll enjoy is Visionary Business, by Marc Allen. Both address the idea of intent, vision and their effects within what we call our reality in ways that will change your life when you are ready. There's not much point in going on about how very much my life and business have been transformed since being exposed to the messages in these and similar books, because your life is your own, and mine won't matter much to you when it comes right down to it. Your own life, though, that's something else. Your life is NOW, and when you are ready to begin the practices outlined herein, the vibrational frequency of your life will be turned up in ways you wouldn't have thought possible before -- and sooner than you'd expect. That's how it was presented to me, and I have come to agree, so I'm passing it on to you. |
