4.0 out of 5 stars a great album!!
Wow, was this really Rockell's new album?!?!? I couldn't believe the tite tracks on this album. Compared to her earlier album "What Are You Lookin' At?", she's matured and grown (ummm, she's grown up physically if you know what I mean!!!) hey, but i'm not complaining she looks beautiful! 2.0 out of 5 stars Second album ...not so pleasurable
Anyone who owns Rockell's first album knows that it was awesome and had that great freestyle beat. This sophmore album didnt have much freestyle sound to it and it kinda goes into a different kinda dance music. I would have to say that i only like a couple of the tracks on this album. The rest of it (especially heading towards the end)was starting to get very annoyng...

Behind the music Rockell's got together some A-list producers. Tony Moran, Carlos "After Dark", Hex, Adam Marano, and others. Now to her tracks that I found that stood out on this album:

Track 1: "What U Did 2 Me" A great opening track, tite bass.

Track 4: "If You Don't See" Rockell goes R&B style!! Great music to just kick back.

Track 5: "Tears" This is one of my favorite tracks. Rockell's voice sounds soooo good here. Produced by Tony Moran, has that classic freestyle beat! I love it!!

Track 8: "Waiting" This one's writen by Rockell and produced by Carlos "After Dark". So you know this one's good!

Track 9: "First Kiss" Her voice is sooo nice here! A nice slow song. One of my favorites.

Track 10: "We Just Disagree" Another track produced by Carlos Berrios. It has his classic beat so you know it's good!

Track 11: "One Kiss" This is my favorite track on the album. I really hope this comes out as a single. It has a nice spanish guitar in the background. I love it. Produced by Adam Marano.

Track 12: "Say You'll Be Mine" Another one of my favorites. Mid-tempo, her voice sounds good here. Produced by Tony Moran.

Overall this is an excellent album and nobody should be disappointed. I didn't even know Rockell was going to have a album released until I heard it from my friend. I purchased the album not expecting anything great, but I was dead wrong! Go out and buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Instant Pleasure Indeed, January 7, 2001
This review is from: Instant Pleasure (Audio CD)
I must say i am shocked at how good this album is. I would say 10 out of the 12 songs are worth the purchase. Rockell's first album "what are u lookin at" was good but nothing like this. Tears, and what u did to me are my favorites. Of Course the remake of the Garth Brooks song the Dance is also primo. Her voice is angelic. Buy it Now.

5.0 out of 5 stars ROCKELL: ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST, November 28, 2000
This review is from: Instant Pleasure (Audio CD)
I THINK THAT ROCKELL IS TRULY AN AMAZING SINGER. I HAVE BOTH OF HER CDS, AND HER SINGLES, AND I HAVE NOT BEEN DISSAPOINTED AT ALL. HER NEW CD IS AMAZING! ESPECIALLY THE FIRST SONG " WHAT YOU DID TO ME" HAS A GREAT BEAT TO IT AND THE LYRICS ARE REALLY GOOD. IF YOU HAVEN'T BOUGHT THIS CD-GO OUT AND BUY IT! THIS CD HAS A LITTLE FREESTYLE, DANCE, AND R&B. OVERALL, ROCKELL ALWAYS HAS GOOD BEATS AND WITH HER VOICE SHE WILL ALWAYS BE AROUND. YOU GOTTA CHECK IT OUT!

3.0 out of 5 stars Sorta disapointed, November 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Instant Pleasure (Audio CD)
I was sure that her new cd would have great music but when I heard it I was a little disapointed. It doesn't have much of that freestyle feel to it. I think that there is only 3 songs that I really like. Maybe I expected more knowing she worked with some of the greatest freestle artistes and her first cd was really good.

As what the other reviewers have said, this album is not as much as Freestyle beats to it... only "Tears" and "Say You'll Be Mine". But definitely her voice is getting better and with the remake of "The Dance" of Garth Brooks, this single has been taking her to the top!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS GIRL!, March 3, 2006
This review is from: Instant Pleasure (Audio CD)
I may be biased because I just LOVE Rockell. I fell in love haaha, with her with her beginning songs, Dreamboy/Girl, I fell in Love, etc. I bought her second cd, and I was suprised it sounded nothing like her first one, but quickly fell in love with this cd as well. It does have a more RnB sound to it, but dance beats. All in all, I'd say this is a great cd if you like this kind of music. Lots of hype songs to work out, dance, clean your house, and just enough slow songs so you can sing about love gone wrong. Don't be so closeminded that she changed her sound. Theres not too many people doing the late 80s/early 90s freestyle sound. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars It's not really *INSTANT*, October 13, 2000

Anyone who follows freestyle knows who Rockell is. In my opinion, she was freestyle in the late 90s what the Cover Girls and Stevie B were in the 80s--she's that good. "In a Dream," "I Fell in Love," "When I'm Gone," "Can't We Try"--so many classics! However, on her new album "Instant Pleasure," it's a step back. There are the requisite dance/pop songs, ballads, and--thank God--some freestyle songs for her fans. First single "The Dance" is already picking up steam at radio thanks to Hex Hector's production. My favorite track on the CD is "TEARS"-->it's the Rockell we all know and love. Maybe the remixes will spice it up. Hell, Rockell deserves props for making it to a second album in the USA. Not many dance artists have done that lately (Amber being a notable exception).

5.0 out of 5 stars Rockell makes a welcome return!!, October 11, 2000
This review is from: Instant Pleasure (Audio CD)
Well,I must say I honestly had not a clue that she had another album in the works..well here it is and here I am. I honestly don't know what to make of this sophomore effort from rockell..I must say that her voice has matured ALOT from the first cd!!!The cd starts of really strong..ex..track 1 has this thunderous freestyle bassline than breaks into a very catchy house beat all the while she's belting out "it'll take time baby wait and see, somebody's gonna do what ya did to me", I love this song and many of us can relate to getting burned and thinking what goes around comes around!! Tracks 2-4-5-6 also are wonderful songs, after that the rest of the album just cruises along into standard dance territory,I might add that track 7 the title track of the album "Instant Pleasure" is kinda annoying but listenable nonetheless, which by no means is a bad thing I was just hoping for that little xtra kick. I must also say track 3 "The Dance" is the seller on this album, possibly rockell's best song to date, THIS SONG IS INCREDIBLE!!! Any dance music fan must own this album for this song...period!!! Buy the cd you'll see what I mean. The beat, the music and the story this song tells is one of passion and heartbreak that really sticks!!! Another high point is track 10 a remake of the song "we just disagree". All in all and dance music fan must add this cd to their collection!!!

This cd is great following her cd "What are you Looking At?" It's freestyle music at it's best when times are not. Her song "What You Did To Me", jamz in a way were you feel the song and also have a great time. If you like this cd you will also love Sharyn Maceren's "Always Dreaming" Debut cd.
