The Instant Power Charger is the first product that allows cell phones to be charged without electricity. The pocket-sized device plugs directly into the cell phone, allowing charging to occur on a plane, on the street, or anywhere else an electrical outlet is not readily available. Users can keep talking while charging, even if the battery has run out of power, giving dead or dying phones a new lease on life.

The Instant Power Charger consists of a PowerCartridge to provide power, a SmartCord that attaches the cartridge to the phone, and one recloseable storage pouch designed to store the PowerCartridge between uses. Each PowerCartridge is good for up to three charges and hours of talk, with refill cartridges sold separately. The SmartCord stays with the user for the life of the phone. The charger is safe for use .

This recharger, which contains 3300 mAH (>3 times the charge of a regular battery), is a great product.

It is compact (at least if you take it out of the plastic it arrives in), has a lot of juice, allows you to use the phone while charging the battery (no need to have a call cut in the middle when the battery dies - charge it while you talk !) and does it's job well.

The only problem with this product is that it has no clear advantage over the Instant Power Disposable Battery for Nokia Phones - they both have the same charge and both can be can be closed in an a special bag supplied in the package and reused.

This battery has the slight advantage of being usable without turning the phone off while replacing the battery, but it is more complex to operate (connecting the wire, monitoring the charge light, etc) than the other battery (a simple switch).

You'll be so glad you got this when you're in a middle of the street, in the middle of a business call and your phone is dying on you - plug the Instant Charger in and keep talking. And then again in the weekend, trekking in the woods, when you just have to call home and there is no power outlet for miles around you - plug the Instant Charger in and keep talking.

You get the picture - this is a must have for a cellular phone user, very reliable and works just as advertised.
