I installed this into my pond with a few modifications (on/off switch & plumbing to waterfall feature) and overall I'm impressed. The unit works as or better than advertized. It pumps like crazy and while testing it still had great flow even pumping up 10' of head.

My only criticism is that the solar panel didn't come with the stand as advertized. This didn't matter to me since I mounted the panel up on the roof, but if you need that stand you might want to contact the seller and emphasize this before ordering.

Also I'd suggest making a pre-filter that wraps the pump intake since the included filter, although pretty well designed to avoid blockages, is quite small for a pond pump and will likely need to be serviced quite often. A pre-filter helps keep the intake filter clean and is usually easier to service since the pump itself doesn't need to be moved.

Of course, the real test is time. So far the system has been running great for a few weeks now, but I'll update this review if it ever fails.

All in all this product appears to be reasonably well made for the price. I'd buy it again.

UPDATE: It's been nearly a year in 7x12 (daylight) operation and the pump is still working flawlessly. When the pump flow drops I clean the filter, which is usually blocked solid with goop. I should have wired in a waterproof on/off switch - right now I have to go up on the roof and throw a towel over the solar panel to stop the pump so I can clean it without it sucking in a bunch of pond goo. I do have mine set up in a pretty ideal situation and maintain it pretty carefully, so mileage might be less if it's not well taken care of.

Over all I am still 100% satisfied with this unit. It was inexpensive but not cheap and so far is standing up to the test of time.
