Summary
Basic point shooting technique and gunfight facts imparted by Rayburn in a podium speech mix with demonstrations of basic range drills (run time is 25 minutes, not 40 as stated on Amazon).

Review
Rayburn's podium instruction starts well but isn't fleshed out with the details and science we need to feel comfortable taking instruction from him or have a full understanding of point shooting. The occasional range drill demonstrations are basic and repetitive, but provide a good starting point for those with no combat shooting instruction.

Rayburn fails to provide science and answers to fundamentals leaving us uncertain on point shooting specifics. He doesn't discuss why the placement of the gun is so specific, the margin of error in that gun placement, what changes at conflicts of 5 feet or less, what changes at 21 feet or more, firing on moving targets, what the statistical outcomes are from point shooters in gunfights, or the amount of training it takes to become proficient. Although he says it takes an average of 4.6 seconds for a person to pass out from blood loss due to gunshot wounds, he doesn't address what a shooter is to do in the meantime or why a headshot isn't the goal when 4 seconds is too long for someone else to fire back.

While walking is incorporated in the drills, rapid movement is not addressed and there is absolutely no tactical discussion as to when each direction of movement should be used, the use of cover, firing from cover, firing on multiple targets, or dealing with an opponent behind cover. Carry methods, drawing and mag changes are embarrassingly not addressed. Reading a target to find out what mistakes you made is lightly covered in a pamphlet, but we never see a target or really find out how to read one from the DVD.
