2.0 out of 5 stars i really wanted to like it. February 12, 2013

i really wanted to like this book. this book broke my awesome streak, since i really got into the last few books i read. this review may contain spoilers. nothing really fit about this story. the cover and the intro was probably the most interesting part of the book. Ailsa is a model for a sofa commercial, in which she is allegedly really sexy. she also works part time as a tour guide. Nick is someone she used to work for back in her nerdy younger days. so they kind of knew each other without knowing each other. Ailsa decides she wants to be wild and free vamp type of person instead of the shy, inhibited person she really is and when she meets up with Nick, she decides to make him her first "seduction victim." she wants, he doesn't. then he wants and she doesn't. cat and mouse could be ever so much more fun. i should also mention that Nick is a single dad. i do like reading stories with children, but his son was not a major player in this book, always mentioned but rarely around. these guys didn't really get my motor running but it was a free read from amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for me July 23, 2013

This really wasn't for me. It was a struggle to get through it. Thankfully it was fairly short. New year, new woman with a lot of obstacles in the way.I felt like it just kinda dragged on and on and when it was over I was relieved. The writing style wasn't horrible I just couldn't get into it at all. I couldn't connect with it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother June 21, 2013

It was a struggle to get through the book. Just never got invested in the story. Maybe it would have been more interesting if I was from England/Scotland because of the odd speech patterns. Sentences didn't make sense at times. I've read other NZ and Oz books and they were great, so maybe it was just this author's way of writing. Not worth the money or time to read it. Thankfully, I got it when it was free.

4.0 out of 5 stars A new leaf February 12, 2013
By Kat
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
At New Year's Eve, Alisa decides to seize the moment with a list along with seducing a guy.
The guy in question is her old boss Nick Palmer. She just wants to experience a fling, but
what happens when Nick wants more? Worth a read even if it's short.
