From Library Journal
Kirkwood, a former nurse, believes she received messages from the Virgin Mary, which were published as Mary's Message to the World (Putnam, 1994); later, she and her husband, Byron, published their prayer and meditation sessions as Messages to Our Family (Blue Dolphin, 1994), from which this latest book is drawn. Here they discuss the urgent need for prayer and meditation as a means for healing the world and averting global disasters, though they offer none of the grim predictions that gave impetus to Kirkwood's first book. Although not particularly well written or convincing, this book nonetheless provides an increasingly popular New Age perspective on the role of Mary as an agent of personal transformation. For public libraries with popular Marian collections.
