Let me start by saying that Instrument Clinic's shipping is insanely fast. I received this product in an unexpectedly short amount of time. The cork itself seems nice and flexible, which is much better than the somewhat "crunchy" cork that has been on my sax since I bought it six years ago. The installation would have went very smoothly, but I think that the supplied glue's dry time listed in the instructions isn't long enough. I had trouble with sanding away the cork because once it is on, the glue just doesn't seem to dry any further (not without waiting for a few days anyway). So, I ended up with a few small tears in the cork as the glue underneath allowed it to slide around some. Luckily, after everything dried, the tears sort of self-healed and I'm left with a decent finished product. If I ever need to do another replacement, I think I can do a much better job now that I know about the glue.

I only rated this a 4 star because it took some work to get the cork in place and sanded down just right. The cork they give you is pretty thick; I guess if you have a large space between the two pieces it would work fine, but our instrument was already pretty tight so a lot of work sanding had to be done. Other than that...it worked fine.

This was my first time ever putting new cork on my saxophone. I had read the manual and even watched a few Youtube videos to make sure I was doing it right. I got a little scared when the cork started to crack a little bit, but as I sanded it down, they went away. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone whether they are beginners or pros.

I've never done any kind of instrument repair and with this kit, I was able to replace the cork on my son's tenor sax.

High quality products and instructions. Don't skip the protective tape on the neck as shown in the instructions. Save the trimmings to recork a clarinet.

My first cork replacement. It works! Even looks good. No high edges, no splits. Everything down tight. Real confidence builder.

After I had finished replacing the cork, the directions ended, not telling me to place the mouthpiece on the neck. Had I done this, I would have been able to tune properly without an excess of grease.
