The Standard for ab-initio Instrument Training,
By A Customer
This review is from: Instrument Flying (Hardcover)
ASA's "Instrument Flying" by Trevor Thom is the one and only book you'll need to become an instrument rated pilot and replaces government instrument procedures manuals in the United States, Canada and Australia. The question of "which training manual to buy" is often raised. Whether you buy one book on Instrument Flying or a dozen, this should be #1 on your list.

The only way to study instruments,
By Bruce Meacham (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Instrument Flying (Hardcover)
I recieved my instrument certficate two days ago. I don't believe any other book I've seen would have so thoroughly prepared me. It's thorough, indepth and up to date. I only purchased two books for all my written: Thom & ASA test prep. Thom was all I needed to get a 93 and ace my oral without any structured ground training course. Excellent book, don't pass it up.

The book to buy for instrument training.,

Trevor Thom has written the standard that all other instrument training books should be judged by. The book is informative, easy to read and well organized. My father in-law is a meteorolgist and he commented on how well the weather section of the book was written. If your looking for an instrument book for training or for reference, this is the one to get.
