5.0 out of 5 stars First Choice Training Aid, March 30, 2000
This review is from: Instrument Flight Training Manual As Developed by Professional Instrument Courses, Inc. 3rd Ed. (Paperback)
This book is adapted from the syllabus for Professional Instrument Courses. PIC trains pilots for their instrument rating in 10 days, in part due to their excellent teaching aid/syllabus. This book not only covers all you need to learn how to fly on the instruments, it does it in a clear and simple manner. Numerous photos and illustrations clarify important concepts. In addition the newest technology like GPS is taught. If you are only want 1 book to help with your instrument training this is it.

This review is from: Instrument Flight Training Manual As Developed by Professional Instrument Courses, Inc. 3rd Ed. (Paperback)
Instrument flying explained in a way that is more easily understood than any other book ever written. Peter Dogan explains in half the words compared to any other text books. A must for the serious instrument & student pilot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth a Look, September 20, 2010
This review is from: Instrument Flight Training Manual As Developed by Professional Instrument Courses, Inc. 3rd Ed. (Paperback)
I am a flight instructor, though I do not work for PIC. I do use this book, and encourage my students to use buy and read it. The straight-forward explanations are effective, and each chapter has a real-life story that illustrates the concept of the chapter. Each chapter also has a "To the CFII" section that is helpful to instrument students, student CFIIs, and active CFIIs alike.
