5.0 out of 5 stars TERRORific!!!
I'm a fan of instrumental rock like The Shadows, Duane Eddy, The Ventures & Los Straitjackets, and let me just say that LATC can give any of these blokes a run for their money. This album is really cool! If you like this cd, you're sure to enjoy their first two--"C'mon Do The Laika" & "Surfs You Right".

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I read the other reviews prior to buying and, surf-music fan that I am, had high expectations. Unfortunately, I found little to please. "Mission Impossible" is awesome, and the Hitchcock themes good, but nothing else made sparks for me. Buy the "Surf Guitar Greats" instead--you'll get their Mission Impossible and Miserlou along with a smattering of...

If you haven't ever listened to Laika and the Cosmonauts, this is the cd to get. Instruments Of Terror and the next cd Amazing Colossal Band are the best studio-cds from Laika And the Cosmonauts. The absolutely best L+C recording is "Laika Sex-Machine" live-cd which (I think) is yet to be released in U.S. markets. But while waiting that get "Instruments of Terror".

4.0 out of 5 stars Surfin' Scandinavians!, August 27, 1999

From the open riff on Mission:Impossible to the Endless Summer theme, these guys roar out of your speakers like a tsunami. Mission cooks hotter than the original TV score and that says a lot. If you want to check Laika out, this is the album to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Galactic surf music, July 29, 1998

Ignore everything else by the band and purchase this disc. Its like standing toes over a perfect wave on a tropical beach somewhere in the cosmos. If Dick Dale puts his stamp of approval on it then so can you.
