5.0 out of 5 stars great for potholders October 26, 2008
I have used this product for two years. I make quilted pot holders and hot pads for setting bakeware on the table. For maximum heat resistance, I put Insul-Bright in the center, with a layer of flannel on each side, then cotton fabric for the front and back, plus binding. A little bulky? Yes. But they make great gifts and they are durable. I'm going to try an oven mitt next.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect! June 3, 2011

This batting is perfect for table runners and hot pads. High quality. Better than the insulated batting (sold by the yard) at Hancock Fabrics.

5.0 out of 5 stars satisfied customer July 6, 2012

I purchased this product to make potholders for my kitchen and for giving as gifts. I use two layers in my pot holders before quilting my layers together. It seems sorta thick untill it is quilted but they are just great. No more worry about being burned, like with the store purchased ones. I made a potholder on the larger size and it is just perfect for putting under hot pans.
I highly suggest trying this product. I order many sewing products from Amazon. Everything from cotton batting to bobbins for my Singer machine. I only had one problem when ordering, a 16 and 1/2 inches ruler made by a company called Creative Grids. It arrived cracked due to poor packing by the shipper. I used a clear, strong plastic tape to repair it rather then going through the trouble of returning it.

I made a lot of quilted pot holders as gifts for Christmas. This fabric is lightweight and is all you need to offer insulation for the potholders. Great stuff.
