I bought the insulpack with digital temperature reading for my sons. One has insulin dependent(type 1) diabetes and the other has growth hormone deficiency. We were going on a trip from KY to San Diego to Legoland and needed to keep the medicines between 36 and 46 degrees F. I thought that this would be impossible considering that we would get to the airport 2 hours before flight and change planes, have a layover and still have to get to hotel and check in before we could chill the medication in a refridgerator. However, the insulpak was a lifesaver and worked exactly the way it is supposed to. The pak never got above 45 degrees the entire day. Thank you for making such a wonderful, valuable product.

My daughter is carrying this item in Texas 100+ degree heat. I don't know how we lived without it. If I need to purchase it once a year due to wear and tear, it will still be more than worth it.

This does exactly what it says it will do: keep your insulin cool for an extended period of time during travel. It is unfortunate that it comes only in a color suitable for your grandmother, and a color that will immediately get dirty the first time you travel. (Would Black have been so difficult a choice?) Further, since it is for travel, the addition of a outer pocket for an owner's name and, say, room number when the case is being stored in a hotel refridgerator would come in handy. But, in short, the most important part is that it works: and it does just fine. I travel frequently between the States and the UK and it has given me great peace of mind.

I got this for my mom, and it took away a lot of our worries while traveling. Now I can rest assured that the insulin is safe and cold. The size of the product is similar to a netbook or an ipad. it has enough space to carry around 10 insulin pens and the temperature display helps in easy monitoring. It does keep the temperature cold for at least 10 odd hours, so its a great travel bag.

Have just purchase the insulpak insulated medication travel bag with electronic temp display. We will be going to Australia & I needed something to keep my insulin cool as the flight just from LA can be a minimum of 19hrs. That doesn't include the checking in & out of the airport! Imagine my relief when I found this item, because my Dr. nor did my pharmacists know of such a product. The airlines does not accomodate keeping medications cooled either.

The indulated travel bag allows me the freedom to travel distances in excess of a few hours and have the necessary suplies that need cooling with me. The bag is large enough to carry all supplies, sothat they are in one location, and the bag is physically large enough that it is easy to track its location.

This product looks much better than it is. In Southern California on a hot day, the cold pack only last5s about 12 hours and that's keeping it in a non air conditioned building and not a car. Most of the room in the case is taken up by the cold pack. It is hard to fit a meter, and two pills, syringes, alcohol wipes and a sharps container into the case unless you get smaller bottles for the pills. The contains two large flat velcroed pockets on the inside, a couple smaller ones would have been better and maybe a place for a meter.

I am pleased with the quality and size of my newly arrived Insulpak. I plan to use it on a long air flight next week. I read the three comments about its coolness not lasting long and that it was heavy and the temperture reading didn't show. I home tested the 6 hour freeze time as recommended and found the ice pack freezing lasted less then 3 hours. I then froze it over night, inserted it in the Insulpak and after 12 hours it was still a cool 53 degrees! Three forths of the ice pack was still hard! So I'm convinced that it could go on for 24-30 hours. The temperature reading is very visible. The instruction not to cover the bottom of the "cold side" insures that Insulpak will stay cool. When I saw this, thought it would be excellent for traveling. It arrived only 2 days after purchase so it definitely arrived in time to be used.

I purchased the Insulpak for a two week road trip with my family. It performed up to standards and was dependable. It kept my insulin under 10 degrees C for more than 24 hrs. It works very well for those trips that involve traveling between hotels, but I just don't see it doing well when camping.
The company that distributes this product, Lustig intl. was very helpful when the temp monitor would not work. It was the battery, but if it had been the unit a new one would have been shipped to me overnight.
There is plenty of room for insulin vials/pens and syringes/needles.
Being able to see what the temperature is without opening the bag is a real advantage.
I am extremely pleased with this travel bag and will use it during hurricane season if the power goes out for an extended time.
