And he can't do anything about it.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Intangible by J. Meyers is completely unlike any other paranormal read I've ever read....With an incredible cast of characters, excellent world building, and an undying sense of suspense."  --Cupcake and a Latte

"The world that J. Meyers has created is exciting, heart breaking, scary, magical all rolled up into a beautiful and fun package. Intangible was a page turner for sure."  --Books Complete Me

"Intangible wasn't what I was expecting. At. All. Just when I thought I got it figured out J. Meyers throws in another piece of the story that took it to another level."  --Talk Supe

"I could go on for days about its exciting plot or action packed paranormal filled paradoxes but I won't. Because though all of those things are good, (or great, if I'm being honest) and they ultimately kept my fingers on hyper-drive, they were not what sucked me in, instead it was the characters that had me up until midnight reading. For a debut author Meyers is amazingly talented at character development."  --Misty Baker at KindleObsessed.com

From the Back Cover

And then she knew. No vision had ever terrified him. Never. In seventeen years. It was as if his own life were at stake. But he didn't See his own future. He only saw other's. She suddenly had a terrible feeling that she knew exactly whose future he'd Seen.
Her voice was a whisper. "Do I get hurt?"
His face contorted, but he didn't say anything.
"Oh my god. Do I die?"
    He closed his eyes.
"Oh." The air rushed out of her lungs on that one word. She was going to die.
Luke's voice was tight, tortured when he said, "We gotta go." He bent down to pick up Sera's bag again, then headed out the door. Sera looked down at her feet. Their book bags lay there. She should probably pick those up, she thought. Luke was already on the porch, waiting. She reached down and grasped the bags, then woodenly stepped outside.
Luke stared at her a moment, searching her face, then reached around her and locked the door. He started down the steps, but her voice stopped him.
    "Luke?"
He turned to look at her. She was going to die. She knew she was going to die. But she couldn't stop herself from asking even though she already knew the answer.
"Have you ever had a vision that didn't come true?" she said. "Ever?"

I have had this book on my to read list for a while. It didn't disappoint. I award this book 4.5 stars.

Intangible by J. Meyers is a compelling read about twins-- Luke and Sera who have secret powers that they can't really share with anyone they know. Even their parents who have probably seen some of their powers don't talk about it. Sera meets a dark, handsome stranger with a big secret as well, and also runs into someone else who may possibly be a... vampire? What happens next is really fun and because of that, I am not going to talk any more about the plot.

After reading a lot of duds recently, this book was refreshing. The two main characters and their powers were intriguing and I found myself caring about what happened to them. The supernatural world that Meyers creates has a new twist on what we know from other books-- nothing is exactly what it seems. I found myself getting sucked in and not able to step away until the end. The book is complete in itself but keeps enough questions open that this could lead to a sequel or two.

I wish I could talk more in depth about all of the characters because all of them are delightfully three dimensional-- but I fear that will give too much away. Just suffice to say, this book was entertaining from beginning to end.

Overall, a terrific, fast paced read, with engaging three-dimensional characters. I will definitely be sticking around for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Next Hit Series! February 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The creative storyline is fabulous and the characters are very believable and likeable. The prequel teaser, Intuition, was truly only that ...a teaser and there is so much more to Intangible. I really enjoyed that the story changed perspective so that the reader can experience Sera's view and then change to see the events from another character's view.

The book was well written with exciting climaxes and laugh out loud humor. The characters were well developed and easily visualized. The twists and turns in the plot were fresh and unpredictable. I look forward to hearing more about Luke, Sera, Fey, Jonas and Marc and am anxious for future books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Intangible? More like engrossing! February 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
J. Meyers does a wonderful job crafting her novel. If you like an active plot, interesting characters, and a story that steadily builds to its' conclusion, this book's for you. I am especially impressed with Ms. Meyers' ability to tell her story from the viewpoints of several different characters and do it well - so often this technique can be distracting, but it's well done here. While the conclusion is satisfying, it screams series - there's much more to be revealed in the world of her characters - and I'm truly glad for it. I look forward to the next book!
