Having just recently started creating intarsia projects I was interested in a book which provided the very basic of this type of work. I was not disappointed. This book is excellent at presenting the subject in a clear and easily followed format. As you work through the levels in the book you cant help but pick up more details and skills. Only criticism and the reason for dropping one star relates to the fact you have to photocopy the plans and in some cases enlarge them. A hard bound book makes this very difficult. I have split the spine and inserted everything in a folder. Not a big deal but could have been addressed with a spiral bound format or the inclusion of plans separately.

Great book. Great plans. Great pictures. Great hints. Very inspirational. If you want to see what can be done with 'Intarsia' this is a wonderful book.

Kathy Wise has put together a book that is very easy to follow for beginners, as well as the advanced wood worker. Step by step intruction, beautiful projects, will have you creating beautiful pieces of art in no time. Highly recommend all of Kathy Wise books.. I am new to this Intarsia woodworking and have found her books very helpful....

Lot's of projects that will be useful as gifts during the holidays.
Easy to understand, the tips and practice area are excellent addition to any book. So thanks for a GREAT one!

Great book, good price and decent shipping times. I am happy with this book, great info and style.

This book has beautiful pictures of the projects. Easy to follow directions. Patterns have to be enlarged, but book is great.

It is a good pattern book with good explanations for beginners. The demonstration pictures are helpful. There is a good range of patterns from simple to more difficult.

I loved this book. It teached me a lot of tips.
