5.0 out of 5 stars Best cooler ever
Very strong and has a separate power supply so it will not mess up your 360 and will not void the warranty.
A bit loud but it's worth it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Intec Cooler pictured not the one received
Amazon is not selling the one pictured. Apparently Intec produces a self powered one and an Xbox powered one (powered by Xbox PS). It appears that most published posts do not recommend the coolers powered by the Xbox's PS only self powered ones. Amazon is not selling the one pictured. Apparently Intec produces a self powered one and an Xbox powered one (powered by Xbox PS). It appears that most published posts do not recommend the coolers powered by the Xbox's PS only self powered ones. I have no idea what Intec is doing but they use the exact same model number which is G8648 and market 2 different units with the same number, my friend has the same number but it is self powered? The unit I just received is clearly marked 2008 on the box, my opinion is to stay away from anything using the Xbox's power and be careful when getting this one since you will not know what you are getting until you open the box. I am upset with Amazon's description and picture. I think it makes sense to have a cooler that is self powered and leave the power to the Xbox 360 alone. For clarification, I know what a NYKO is and this is NOT a NYKO it is an Intec with part number G8648 an does NOT have its own power supply it is clearly using the Xbox 360 PS, feel free to comment with your email address and I will happly email you a picture of the box and cooler it is Intec 100%.

3.0 out of 5 stars What did you say? I can't hear you over the fan!, July 26, 2008

The fans were loud from the beginning. So I did what any gamer would and turned the TV volume up. I purchased the item about a month ago and two days ago during initial turn on the cooler started to make a humming... almost grinding noise that would eventually stop. I had this happen on a cooling unit before and I promptly took it apart. I know it means there is friction occurring ( lack of lubrication )where the fan meets the motor. I just feel all these cooling products are made poorly. I would gladly pay $60.00 for a product I didn't have to replace every couple of months. Granted it did cool the unit. Maybe I just got another lemon! You decide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little accessory, November 24, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Intec G8648 Turbo Cooler for Xbox 360 (Accessory)
First off this product will not screw up your Xbox. Since it has its own power source it does not feed off the Xbox's power supply!

I was amazed by how much air this little guy gives off, it will definitely help keep my Xbox cooler. My one concern is how it will fit with my wireless adaptor, but we will see. Some reviewers on here have given this product a bad review, because they had mistaken this product for the Nyko Intercooler or like products. These have the ability to harm your Xbox because they indeed feed off the Xbox itself.

If you are worried about heat with your xbox 360 I would recommend this fully!

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, September 21, 2009

This review is from: Intec G8648 Turbo Cooler for Xbox 360 (Accessory)
I bought this in Australia sold under the name "Powerwave", but from the photos it's the identical item. (mine is black)

1. It fit's my Xbox 360 Elite perfectly

2. It turns on and off with Xbox power

3. It makes quite a bit of noise - but it's not an unpleasant noise, if anything it allays my fears of the Xbox overheating.

4. I haven't measured the output temperature, but as an impression holding my hand at the back, on a 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit) day, it is about the same temperature with the Cooler fitted than the 360 is on a cool night without it fitted!

So far I am 90% happy (just the noise but if it works it will make noise so that's inevitable I guess)

Therefor I can recommend this item.

Had this unit for a while but it is decent. My friend bought the TS one which is actually a much better one. I recommend paying the extra couple of bucks for it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Happened to me too....., January 6, 2009
This review is from: Intec G8648 Turbo Cooler for Xbox 360 (Accessory)
Received the wrong product. I ordered the one with a separate power supply, received the one that draws it's power from the xbox and voids the warranty. Sending it back. Was for a present!!! At least he knew the difference before we used it, now I can try and get the right one the second time around.

2.0 out of 5 stars No seperate power supply, December 22, 2008
By
This review is from: Intec G8648 Turbo Cooler for Xbox 360 (Accessory)
I bought this because of the reviews stating that this had its own power supply. I have purchased several intercoolers they are all junk. I thought I would try this one since it was supposed to have its own power supply. NOT just like the intercooler. I just hope it does better than the other ones made just like this one. FYI does not look like the pic. It looks like the intercooler brand with the xbox power plug on the end. I am writing this review before my son puts this on his XBOX so will have to see what happens.

4.0 out of 5 stars My review, December 9, 2008

This review is from: Intec G8648 Turbo Cooler for Xbox 360 (Accessory)
From first word of the xbox 360's overheating and red lighting I looked for a solution to help cool the system. At first I bought myself a nyko intercooler and hacked off the power supply system and wired it to the wall it works but in the end its still hacked and somewhat unsafe if not wired properly. Then I found this one, which came in black! so I grabbed it. Ive only had it for a few days but so far it seems to be working pretty well. A bit louder than the nyko but I can deal with that because I believe its pulling alot more air.

Hello and thank you for taking the time ti read my review.
I urge you NOT I repeat NOT to buy this item it is not what you want.
I ordered this because so many xboxs these day break easyly with the red rings. after recieveing it i opened it and attached it to my xbox then i heard how if it feeds off the power supply it will harm the xbox. i then threw out this product and bought the correct one. If u search amazon you should find the correct one that does not use the same power supply that the xbox uses. If u buy this you will be centenly be upset.
