This is a really big umbrella - which is good because I'm a big guy (6' 3"). It feels that it really solidly constructed, and the wind does blow through the top to keep the wind from stealing your umbrella. I have had the umbrella for almost 6 months, and it works just fine.

I like this umbrella because it covers me and my two kids as we walk from the car to school. It seems strong and well made. My only issue is that it does not open or close as quickly/smoothly as I'd like.

I've only used this umbrella a few times since purchasing, but it's been great so far. Very durable and surprisingly lightweight. Happy with my purchase!

Took the umbrella out during a San Francisco storm. Medium wind. The upper part is connected to the lower part of the umbrella with STRING. The upper part separates from the lower part when wind comes in so that the full umbrella doesn't turn inside out. This was effective for about five minutes. Then, string by string, the strings connecting the upper and lower parts of the umbrella began to break - within 10 minutes the umbrella was useless and I walked home soaking wet. To make matters worse, the umbrella comes in a huge box, which I put in a recycling bin. Now to return it I will have to pay for another box and packaging, and I found no way of getting in contact - through amazon - directly with the manufacturing and must pay for the return of a defective product. Unimpressed!

This product has proven to be durable and mechanically sound. Other more expensive umbrellas I've purchased do not resist wind as well and after several uses have problems with the opening mechanism. This umbrella shows no sign of wear and tear even after the severe weather we've had this year. Though the weather is unpredictable at least one thing is certain, this umbrella will hold up to the storm.

I purchased two of these umbrellas and am satisfied with them. We got caught in a wind/rainstorm the other day at a soccer game and was very impressed with it's ability to not fold inside out like most of the other peoples umbrellas did. One of the Windcutters poles that hold the outside of the umbrella came undone but it was easily refastened in it's holder and was as good as new. You do need to have a good hold on the umbrella when the wind kicks up as it tends to want to try and fly away until the wind finds its way through the top flaps. The only thing that kept me from giving a full star rating is I was a little disappointed in its overall size. I figured it would be a little larger for a "Golf" umbrella but works good for a single persons use.

The umbrella is well thought out and big. But, the handle was installed on the shaft too far up. The keeper ring does not have enough space to slide down and then back up to secure the ends of the ribs. The two straps with velcro hold the umbrella closed, but the sliding ring is useless. Hope you get one from a better manufacturing run.

Umbrellas look good and open easily. On closer inspection I found the stitching holding the ribs to the nylon fabric to be loose and detached on each of two umbrellas. Even the good stitching on the ribs looked like they could become loose without too much use. Returned both umbrellas and will select a different manufacturer. I really dislike making a negative review but the QC should be better.

This umbrella handles strong winds very well. I have used it several times in the past month, and it has never inverted. It keeps me protected from the rain walking across a campus where it is normally windy. I have detected umbrella envy from others, while they struggle with inferior umbrellas to stay dry. I am very happy with this purchase.

I got this about a month ago. It's extremely large, but very light for its size due to it being carbon fiber and not metal. Yesterday was the first windy rainstorm I was in, and it was great. For the price, you're not going to beat this umbrella!
