good idea but does not work. bought first set, one of the batteries lasted 30 min after 8 hrs on charger. Intec wanted me to return it to my cost. I sent the whole thing back to where I had bought it from. bought a second set same problem but this time with both of the batteries. bought AA batteries with charger for half of Intec charger and they last days.

Works well, could be better though, January 28, 2011

I bought 2 of these from Best Buy, and have had no problems with either.
Cons:
1) The indicator lights go all the way around the base, so if you have your Wii in your bedroom they are bright enough that they would be very annoying. There is a switch on the back that can turn the whole thing off, but then it doesn't charge.
2) You have to get the Wii-motes lined up almost perfectly. There is a bit of forgiveness in placement, but not a lot. If you have it right outside the acceptable edge it will light up for a few seconds, then darken again rather than staying solid. If you are way off it doesn't light up at all. The on part of the blink is long enough for you to see it is charging and walk away.
Pros:
1) Charge is good, I have not yet run out of juice during a session from a full charge. Occasionally my daughter will not put it back on the charger and then days later it is dead so I think it does drain while sitting faster than batteries, but I have played for a few hours in a row after bringing it off the charger without a problem.
2) It charges quite well through the rubber skin.
3) The base is large enough to accomodate the Wii Plus accessory on the remote.
4) Fairly good design, not a ton of wasted space, just enough to not bump the other Wii mote when picking up or putting down.

I got a Wii and the Intec Wii Induction Charger to go with it on Christmas, knowing that the Wii-motes will go through batteries, after the first week, the charger has been nothing but problems or useless. At first it worked just fine, although the charge the batteries held was disappointing. Fine if you want to limit your kids time playing games to less then 3-4hours, annoying if you are an adult who plays for long stretches. As the month went on, it seemed I had to have the mote "just so" on the dock, or so I thought. Sometimes the thing would report the remotes as fully charged, only for me to pick it up, find them half charged when I go to play, then set them back on the charger for it to give the red charging light. Now, in Feb, my remotes are sitting on the dock, completely dead, after having been left on the dock for over a week. Every once in a while I'd pick them up off the dock and set them back down just to see if the blue "charged" light would turn to red "charging", and Lo! it did every single time. I would even put my mote on the left, onto the dock on the right and vice versa to make sure. The batteries have absolutely nothing for a charge right now and it's not from the placement on the dock. The batteries just won't take a charge now or the dock isn't charging. Awful awful product.
