AES 256-bit hardware encryption
FIPS 140-2 Validated - Certificate No. 1821
Secure Entry - Data cannot be accessed without the correct high strength alphanumeric 8-16 character password. A password hint option is available. The password hint cannot match the password
High Strength Password Enforcement - Setting of a high strength password is mandatory
Brute-Force Password Attack Protection - Data is automatically erased after 6 failed access attempts. The data and encryption key are securely destroyed and the Crypto Drive is reset
Auto-lock - The Crypto Dual will automatically encrypt all data and lock when removed from a PC or when the screen saver or "computer lock" function is activated on the host PC
Password Entry Count - The Crypto Dual records the failed entry count e.g. if the Crypto is removed after 2 failed attempts and reinserted, the drive will resume with the 3rd attempt
Personal ID Function - As an option, contact details can be added to the Crypto that can be viewed without compromising encrypted data
Unique number - The USB pin on each drive is etched with a unique and random 7-digit code. This allows a record to be kept of which drive has been allocated to a specific user

Having purchased an 8gb of the same device and loving it, I wanted more storage so I ordered the 32gb.

It claims to accommodate up to 16 character password and my 8gb does...but this one topped out at 13 characters although all paperwork and website claims 16 characters.

I did all the troubleshooting there was including resetting the device and trying different passwords...nope.

Contacted customer service via website contact form the day it arrived and I have still not heard from anyone. I returned it and received credit...but still no word.

Was it a glitch in this one drive...or what? I want to reorder, but will not until I get confirmation it will work correctly. Frustrating to say the least and very disappointing customer no-service to say the least.

I cannot recommend purchasing this product at this time.

If I receive a response and satisfactory explanation, I will update...until then BEWARE before you buy!!!!!!!!!!

2/19/2013, I received an email from the company in the UK apologizing for the oversight in communicating with me and offering to work with me to make this right. They assured me that there was not a problem in the software that they could find (maybe mine was a glitch). I have reordered another one and it worked perfectly. Without going into details on our communication and finalization, I can say wholeheartedly that I recommend this company and their products.

I'm coming up on one-year since I purchased and began using this fully encrypted device. I spent the extra $$$ to get the FIPS 140-2 (tamper resistant) and nobody's getting to the chip on this thing. If they do someway, somehow, and crack the chip sealant - the drive is immediately securely wiped clean. The initial write speeds are nothing to write home about, but the read speeds are very good. I plan to buy another and kick up the storage as Integral now offers these with the FIPS 140-2 certification up to 64GB in size. These aren't cheap, but as with so many things - you get exactly what you pay for.

I bought 3 of these (1 16gb and 2 4gb) for my government office several months ago, and we have not yet had a problem. Set up is pretty easy. This was definitely a less expensive alternative to other encrypted flash drives.
