Most outstanding criminal theory book,
By Dr. B Johnson (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Why Crime? An Integrated Systems Theory of Antisocial Behavior (Paperback)
Why Crime? is the most outstanding criminal theory book available. The author reviews findings from many (but not all) academic disciplines and provides an exhaustive review of the literature about why crime happens. The most important aspect of the book is the integration of findings from different fields of study, which he does from chapter to chapter. Chapters 4 and 5 are too biased on biology but later chapters are fair. Chapter 10 presents a new theory and summarizes the whole book. Try not to look at the figures in this chapter because they make no sense. Overall the book is wonderful.

The book came in great shape, brand new. The truthful reason I got this book was for a class and we are not reading the whole thing nor have I yet. What I have read so far in the book is decent information.
