This book is an excellent resource for teachers and schools looking to train teachers in the use of educational technology. The focus is not using technology for technology's sake, but integrating technology into the classroom. A very balanced approach--technology is used to enhance education and motivate students, it will not improve education just by simply bringing it into your classroom. Probably equally as good for teaching a college course.

i teach courses in instructional technology and this textbook is a valuable resource. i use the online textbook companion for students to respond to portfolio and multiple choice questions and submit results for evaluation.

I used a book of Roblyers for a MA class and again for a Dr. class from different schools. A very well published author. Good information. Does an excellent job of staying updated through editions (which you need to when writing about technology!).

In excellent shape; DVD and all. This book was perfect in every way. All the leaves intact. The price was hmmm reasonable and the DVD works well.

A very worthy book. In the technology realm, people are the greatest challenge, in maximizing best use of technology, and in securing its appropriate use. I'm David Scott, author of I.T. Wars: Managing the Business-Technology Weave in the New Millennium. There are many parallels between the educational challenges and business challenges in the coming years, in aligning technology to the business at-hand. Technology is now a foundational underpinning to everything, and dependencies and vulnerabilities are best understood through early and ongoing education.

I used this text for a class that required the 5th edition and had zero issues. Just had to navigate the slightly different page numbers a couple times. Overall, I'm glad I saved the money and went with this text over the 5th edition.

This book is great at providing ideas to help teachers integrate Technology into their classrooms focused around the content areas. There are also a wide variety of computer software programs mentioned in the book. The programs can be helpful for both teachers and students.

This is an excellent and informative read, integrating the theory and technology into one book. Demonstrating the excellence of M.D. Robyler, throughout.

I purchased this book for a college class, was told it was in excellent shape. Needless to say when it came it had an awful smell and has stains throughout the book. It is gross and will tell more people NOT to purchase this type of product from Amazon.
