The Growth of Insight,
By Dr. JoAnn M. Burke (St. Mary's College of Notre Dame) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Integrating the Feminine Spirit: Returning to the Womb of Creation (Paperback)
Sam Oliver speaks of the growth of insight, the fusion of spirit, and the return of soul. As adults experience the limitations of doing caused by the inability to control and avoid loss and pain, they may become more aware of the feminine spirit that exits deeply within the self and in the caring actions of others.Sam Oliver describes some of this process in childhood and adulthood. In more traditional terms, this book is about the human journey to remain connected to the heart of God - a God with feminine as well as masculine images.

What is Repressed will Return,
By
This review is from: Integrating the Feminine Spirit: Returning to the Womb of Creation (Paperback)
It is an axiom in individual psychology that what is repressed will return to be heard and to be integrated. What is repressed will return to be healed, integrated, a wound created in the repression. The very nature of our being searches for healing, for wholeness. The divine feminine, repressed for so long, is speaking out now. She speaks both of her desire and capacity for healing - loudly and lyrically and boldly and lovingly and sensuously and powerfully and in a multitude of voices. One of these voices is Sam Oliver's.

From the Author,
This review is from: Integrating the Feminine Spirit: Returning to the Womb of Creation (Paperback)
This is a book on healing through the feminine side of the soul. It is an attempt to look within ourselves to a world creating impressions, feelings, and thoughts on the world around us. Within us, are endless pathways into our soul (womb of creation) allowing us to give meaning to our external world. In so doing, we find insight, to see from within, guiding us in and through the world of form from the formless. This is a book on transformation. Inside us, we can go beyond what we know - to - what can be known through us. Such is the journey of the feminine spirit. Enjoy! |
