A must-have for Battery fans!,
By "skarecreau" (San Francisco, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Integration (Audio CD)
With Evan Sornstein moving on to form Curium, Maria Azevedo and Shawn Brice picked up where Battery left off with this stunning Dia debut. It's got the same elements that made Battery a great band, plus a maturity of sound and lyrics. "Heat" does have a feel remininscent of older angry songs like "Manipulator", but the rest seems quite different. "Elan" has an '80s New Wave sound to it in parts. "Lullaby" is simply sweet and beautiful.

The calm and the powerful!!,
By Warren Harrison "Warren" (Cincinnati, OH United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Integration (Audio CD)
Well, i have been an avid fan of all the folks in "Dia" for many years now, and i must say that this most recent effort has been well worth the wait for new material!! Shawn Brice's music is as rhythmic as it is beautiful. From the passion and strength of "Heat" to the calm and serene softness of "Lullaby", you are taken on a trip for the ears that should not be missed. Maria Azevedo's vocals seem stronger than ever...but there's something else there that wasn't there before. She has exorcized the anger from the past leaving her free to express her new found love and happiness. I strongly recommend you pick this CD up and explore all the emotions and beauty that lie within it! Love, CB of HL
