I unboxed this motherboard, mounted in the case, installed 2GB of RAM, connected the cables and it fired right up.
Very easy to setup this motherboard. I easily installed Windows XP SP3 from a DVD that I had burned then updated all of the drivers from the CD included with this mobo. Performance is snappy. Task Manager shows 4 CPUs.

I have only had it up and running for a few hours but everything seems stable thus far.

This is my second build using an Intel Atom mini-ITX combo. Very satisfied. I built my first one in a similar configuration almost 2 years ago. Both boxes use an Apex MI-008 mini-ITX case.

Tip: Pick up some shorter SATA cables.

Update after 1 week: Still running great. Web pages load in a snap. It even runs older pc games (circa 2000) with ease. Onboard video with Acer G205H Bbd 20-Inch Widescreen LCD Display (Black) looks fabulous.

I have this board running my NAS and ushare under Ubuntu 10.04.1.
No issues with drivers or anything and it works MUCH better for streaming than my windows 7 PC that consumed over 5x the power.
I can't comment on the graphics however as I have the system headless and use webmin for remote administration.

<<Update>>
8 Months later and it's still kicking. It's on nearly 24/7 and there have been no issues whatsoever. (Electric bills have been friendly as well. my kill-a-watt has my current setup with this board running around 28 watts.

Setup was easy, the motherboard came with two SATA cables, so you don't need to buy any of those beforehand.

Comes with a disk full of all the needed drivers so you don't need to download them all.

This + a WD Caviar Green 1TB SATA drive scores 3.1 on Windows Experience Index - the bottleneck being the graphics (the CPU scores 3.5)

I was only able to put Windows 7 on it so far. The install was faster than usual. Im using Crucial CT2KIT25664BC1067 4GB 204-PIN PC3-8500 SODIMM DDR3 Memory KIT (2GBx2) and Western Digital 2 TB Caviar Green SATA Intellipower 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive WD20EARS. Booted nicely. Initially I had some minor hiccups as i didnt seat the DIMM0 RAM properly and it did not post. Then after it was stopping midway in posting because of my Optical drive which i used to install Windows.

I will update this as time goes on. So far I am very happy.

I'm using this board in a non-mechanical setup, so there are no fans. It has performed solidly day-to-day for a couple weeks, including a couple sessions doing things like fractal generation a particle simulation. Although I imagine that it isn't doing those CPU-heavy tasks as fast as a power-hungry CPU.

The average CPU temperature is about 100F (38C) while browsing and 110F (43C) when doing CPU-intensive tasks. I consider this excellent, especially considering there are no fans moving air. Power consumption of the entire system is under 25 watts.

Other parts of my system:
-OCZ 32 GB Onyx SSD
-Crucial 4 GB DDR3
-Antec Mini-ITX Case ISK100
-OS: Fedora 14 with LXDE window manager

This is one of the few current main boards that has an on-board parallel port. I am using as a controller for a CHC roouter with Mach3 and the parallel port works very well. The four core processor is overkill for this application but the price/performance is outstanding and it is almost plug and play with Mach3.

Have just set this motherboard up with a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 320 GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 16MB Cache 2.5 Inch Internal NB Hard Drive ST9320423AS-Bare Drive(Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging), a Samsung Slim 8X DVD+/-RW Internal Drive SN-S083C/BEBE (Black) and 1 x Crucial CT25664BC1067 2GB 204-PIN PC3-8500 SODIMM DDR3 Memory Module in a standard ITX case. It was very easy to install Windows 7 and drivers and I now have a very small, low power PC which fits into any small corner and is fine for those who only need Internet access, MS-Office and file storage. Not designed for gamers or for those who intend to edit HD movies. I have prepared one for my 91 year-old Dad and one for my 83 year-old Mum.

I replaced my AMD Athlon 64 X2-based web server with something low power, this Atom D525-based system. I've been running it for over a week now, with 4 GB of RAM, and it works quite well for what I want. Certainly, my website comes up just as well, if not slightly faster, than the old system, but is using a fraction of the power that the old one did.

I have tried some media streaming with the system and, for the most part, it works alright. For sending files to my PS3 to watch on the TV, it seems to stream quite well. For Hulu, the video can get somewhat "choppy" (I have a 6 Mbps internet connection), but I think that's because I'm using the integrated Intel graphics chip. I'm also using Ubuntu 10.10 as the operating system.

So I recommend this motherboard and processor combo for basic work and basic media playing. 2 GB of RAM works pretty well with it, but I'd go with 4 GB if you can, depending on your needs. If you want to run an HTPC-style media system for your television, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND adding a video card. I haven't tried it, but I really doubt that this system has enough horsepower to display anything seamlessly on a large LCD television. With a video card, however, even a cheap one (e.g. GeForce 210), I think it would work well!

This motherboard (barely can call it a Motherboard actually, it only accepts one (1) daughter board)is small, low power and very limited in expansion capability, but works just as advertised and is great value for the money. Perhaps its best attribute is the lack of a CPU cooling fan. Its the quietest motherboard you'll find!

Easy to assemble - had to update bios (not a big deal) - wish it had TPM chip to allow windows 7 encryption.
