This thing screams, circa 2008. In 2013, it's an old socket type. I actually laughed out loud at the $1450 price tag. You can buy a much, much faster processor for about $500, and a faster processor for $200. Just get an i5 or an i3.

Amazingly fast, reliable, and powerful processor. Been using it on 64bit-OSs for the past 5 years w/o any performance issues. The CPU's quad cores will process any thing you throw at it and fast. The only down time I had when the fan died on me, which is not CPU issue. Replaced it same day and was up and running again!

It is faster than de Quad but the price is still to high for the performens and it use too much energy !the 45mm cpu's are better !
