This BTX motherboard is great., March 20, 2007
This review is from: Intel Motherboard 955X Express chipset BTX ( BOXD955XCSLKR ) (Personal Computers)
This BTX motherboard is working very good,It is compatible with all components.I love them very much. But one reason We have to pay more money to buy the full BTX Case and Heatsink (Intel Pico BTX Type 2).Because the heatsink go together with CPU socket 775 do not fit on this BTX motherboard. So We have to buy them saparately about $ 40.00 and the full BTX cooler master case $ 200.00.My opinion, If who like to play Computer for fun and do not care about money,This BTX one very highly quality for gammer....later We can upgrade them easyly.I have no money now,I just let them sit on the piece of Wood block. But It is working so good. Finally this BTX One very big size(12.50 x 10.50 inches) do not fit with mini BTX case.We Hope You Guys will Love Them same as BMW Car.

BTX Board, February 5, 2011
This review is from: Intel Motherboard 955X Express chipset BTX ( BOXD955XCSLKR ) (Personal Computers)
I bought this board because it was cheap. I shoe horned it into an ATX type case that I layed flat, after gutting the original racks, making my own horizontal BTX case.I bolted the power supply over the front which was previously a side, and I have a BTX motherboard working fine. I put a BTX type II fan cooler over a Pentium D socket type processor on the board. For the $14.99 board it was worth the remodeling of the case. If you can't chop and rebuild a case, you would have to buy or get an old Dell case. this would add to construction cost.A very versatile board with lots of expansion options. It cools ok.

Motherboard 955XCS BTX Formfactor, December 13, 2010
This review is from: Intel Motherboard 955X Express chipset BTX ( BOXD955XCSLKR ) (Personal Computers)
Hi, my review on the 955XCS BTX formfactor is quite an experience as far as building and searching for the correct parts, ( hardware, such as 3.0 - 3.02+ fans that fits the motherboard, 3.02 P4 EMT64 technology that I found at [...] refurbished at a reasonable price. I have been through (3) of these same motherboards tyring OS XP Home, XP Meadia Center, and now using the first motherboard that I purchased from Amazon that I was having little dificulties running Win.XP Home. The run time was excellant but the software that comes with the board is out dated and this particular motherboard has been discontinued for awhile now so you really need some experience as far as running Windows OS if you are using this motherboard for more then regular web surfing or e-mailing. From my experiences Win. OS XP Home using the drivers and the acessorries software that come in a (2)- Disc separate bundle -w- the motherboard actully works pretty well running a P4. After all thr motherboard is a Extreme Motherboard and I haven't got that far yet. There are much better processors then the P4 775 sockets that must have EMT64 Tec. or the board will not function. The experience with OS Vista Home Premuim is a lot different. Lot more automactic WIN.OS Install. You do not need the software ( Drivers, or Acessorries ) that came with the board. One when using Win.OS XPs if you want to see or create system restore in your computer properties you will have to use the accessory Disc and install the defrager download from the software wich comes combined download with the system restore. The better and higher the OS the better and more interresting this motherboard becomes. PS. If you are in to building your own desktops from scratch keep in mind that with this motherboard the higher the OS the more auto function installs and downloads updates and PCI cards, Sound Cards, and HDDs you will be having fun trying and using. Parts you need to get started. Must have Video Card PCI E x 16, BTX fan 19.50, for XP OSs. Vista and higher same as XP except you may need a sound card for Vista. In the recording device the audio device are missing and have to find compatiable drivers online. Have not tried this MB on Win.OS7 yet. The onboard software that came with this MB along with the drivers installs excellant with OS XP Editions. I think computer lovers will enjoy this discontiuned motherboard for the price and run time. Read instructions cafefully on power straps connectors to the board and you should not have any problems. Tyrone.
