Watson Sony Battery charger for P F V series batteries. Available at quite a few on line retailers including Amazon. Link is to the Amazon listing.
I really have no idea the battery works well in my HDR-PJ260V. The battery supplied with the camera was a NP-FV50, If the HDR CX220 takes the same battery pack or compatible the 6Hr battery will work. A local photo shop should be able to help with compatibility. It does last a long time, but, it does add weight. Something to consider. It does charge the same and work just as well as the small one.
I don't know. It is recommended For my HDR-PJ260V. Best add-on for the camera. We spent a MONTH in Alaska, taking tons of pictures, and I do mean a ton. The high capacity battery gave us plenty of power for the whole day. Alaska in the summer is a 24 Hour photo op it is always light. We always had power for that unexpected moment.
Mine does not have an indicator, I charge through the camera and a wall plug or through the computer. When it is fully charged the indicator on the camera turns off. My camera is a Sony similar to yours. I had to slide paper between the battery and camera body to stiffen the fit. The slight shaking of the battery really messes the camera performance. My battery did not look like the one in the ad. The camera worked a lot better with a larger battery.
What you will have is the same as my camera, that is the new battery will project an inch or so beyond the camera from where the original was tailored to fit. I gather that from looking at images of the Handycam. Because of the extra weight and not tight fit I found I had to slip some paper between the battery and the camera body to stop the battery from jiggling. With more juice my camera is more responsive. Hope this helped.
Hi. I haven't tested it with that camcorder but am confident it will work and communicate fine. In the past there were batteries that were not decoded that would be rejected as yours did, but now the batteries are intelligent. Just like the one being sold.
