How does this work?
Clicking the “Test drive now” button launches a copy of this app on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a web service that provides on-demand compute capacity in the cloud for developers. When you interact with the simulated phone using your mouse and keyboard, we send those inputs over the Internet to the app running on Amazon EC2 — just like your mobile device would send a finger tap to the app. Our servers then send the video and audio output from the app back to your computer. All this happens in real time, allowing you to explore the features of the app as if it were running on your mobile device.

This is a child's connect the dots game. It features over 90 images and you can select either numbers for counting or the alphabet in either lower case or uppercase letters. Unfortunately connecting the dots draws shapes that even an adult could not guess what they were after they are completed. Fortunately a voice will then tell you what the object is and congratulates you for completing the puzzle.

Connecting the dots is easy and the touch control works well for little fingers that are learning motor control skills. Some of the games get dots numbering into the twenties and could be a challenge for very young children learning to count. If your child selects the wrong number in the sequence then the line will not connect and the proper dot lights up to show them the proper way. This hint can be turned off or on under the Preferences button.
The app size is 23.77 which seems large for a simple game with simple graphics. There were no permissions selected on the Kindle Fire.

Controls on the main screen are:

Play

Preferences
* Child lock locks the game so that the child cannot leave the game accidently
* Caption is selectable from numbers, to lower case letters to capital letters
* Voice for 123 & ABC
* Play sound for when puzzle is done
* Name the image
* Show hint

More games
* You have to tap the button 3 times and you go to the Amazon App Store or to the Amazon Browser. Pick one and you go to the site and are able to purchase apps. Because it has a button that leads to the internet for purchases you should lock your WIFI or turn off one touch purchases. The button does require multiple taps to open the Amazon access but I would still totally lock it closed or you may own a bunch of $2 and $4 games for 3 to 6 year old children.

This is a good game for kids and the only negative I could find was the installed size is pretty large for such a simple game with simple graphics.

There is no need to give fake reviews, let the game stand on its own merits! Fake reviews seem to be becoming the norm for these apps. Developers should read the Amazon regulations about posting reviews on their own products. The ones today were so blatantly fake that they not only voted for this game but for multiple games in the developer's product basket. Fake reviews make my hair stand on end!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not very engaging. August 7, 2012

My 2 1/2 year old son is really excited about learning his ABCs these days, so when I saw this FAotD I quickly installed it. It is a little too simple in its design, it has a bunch of connect-the-dots images that make no sense until the puzzle is complete and the image appears. The first puzzle we did looked like it was going to be a house (at least it looked that way to me) but once the dots were connected the image they show is an envelope! >.< I did like the child lock feature that keeps your kid from leaving the app and exploring the rest of your device. I just wish the app was worth staying locked inside. My son ultimately got bored within 10 minutes and I uninstalled. Oh well.

I was hoping this game would teach numerical sequencing, but it doesn't. The child player does not have to recognize the numbers in sequence like a pencil/paper connect the dots. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so impressive for my daughter.
Maybe individualistic, but my 3.5 years old daughter did not take to it
The good is that the concept of 'connecting the dots' is well-conceived

would be fun while being educational. However, I overlooked the age range on it and our grandson is beyond this level of counting and, so I deleted it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable
Enjoyable app for my children that woks well. While each "stage" is essentially the same concept, it does help young toddlers with recognition of order.
