5.0 out of 5 stars Super Tuner
This is the best tuner I have used. I have a gnx4 and a Zoom 606 and this tuner is BETTER than their on board tuners. If you want to be in tune get this tuner!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best tuner on the market
The Korg tuners are much better. However, this does have a contact pick up built in, so that is a plus - Korg didn't and I had to search elsewhere for the pick up to improve my Korg tuner.

I gave this tuner away because the Korg tuner with a contact pick up is superior in fine tuning a guitar, or mandolin.

5.0 out of 5 stars great tuner, March 10, 2006
This review is from: Intellitouch PT2 "Bare Bones" Tuner
I haven't tried many other chromatic tuners but this one is hassle free. The PT1 was recommended by guitar teacher, but the features it added didn't make sense to me. I'm not on stage or back stage and don't have to tune in the dark. This model works very well when you find the right placement on the headstock. Definitely Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tuners - well suited to acoustic music, January 6, 2007

These are great tuners -- very accurate and incredibly convenient to use (no cable). However, because they work acoustically they are not the best for loud situations such as a club with loud music (where you're trying to tune before a set) or if you're trying to tune up in the middle of a song (and the rest of the band is loud). Best for acoustic music. For louder situations you're better off with an electronic tuner.

4.0 out of 5 stars easy to use, July 25, 2010

I bought this one to tune my violin. This tuner is easy to use. Especially for a beginner.
The only thing I am concerned with is that when I received the product, I could see some tiny stains on the screen, a tiny scratch on the left side and even a finger print when I checked it at a certain angle. I wrote to ask the seller, they checked their products and found that each one has slight blemish/scratch on the left side.
I guess that someone didn't clean their fingers when doing the product quality check. Would suggest the manufacture pay more attention on cleaning the screen before launching the product. Still, it's an excellent tuner.

Great tuner for the money. I wish it was backlit for stage use when lighting is minimal.

I love the intellitouch tuners. They are compact and fit right on the head of the instrument. They are easy to use and display the note you are nearest, and when there are equal arrows on each side of the note--you are in tune. I am terrible about loosing electronic tuners and the intellitouch tuners stick with me longer than any other brand. :)
I bought my bare bones model in an emergency. I lost my regular intellitouch and it was too far to payday, so I ordered the bare bones to get me through the month. I was delightfully surprised. It was exactly like the more expensive model except it was white instead of black in color and it does not light up at night. You do need a little light to see the display. After several years,I still have this tuner, still use it, and it still
looks and works great. The light issue has never been a problem. Usually there is always some light--even at night.
The only problem I have ever had with intellitouch is that the batteries are those specialty round ones, and I am too lazy to make a special trip to the battery store for them. My husband usually waits until they go out on every tuner in the house, and then makes a trip to replace them all at once. They do last a lot longer than more readily available batteries, and it is not intellitouch's fault that I don't like to go to a special store. :) Also--I sent one of my more expensive models back to the company for repairs and they do everything on it and send it back for $15. My tuner had been dropped and it wasn't their fault, but they were great about it anyway.
Great company and great little tuner!
