Nugent live playing original songs that you have never heard,
By A Customer
This review is from: Intensities in 10 Cities (Audio CD)
Recorded live at various concerts, the album starts out of the gate at guitars blaring, drums pounding and doesn't let up. Its a great collection of songs that never seemed to make it on studio-released albums, it's just Ted and the gang having fun and rocking out in concert. While none of these songs were ever chart toppers, they are just great rock-n-roll. Its the perfect CD to play in the car. You will be fighting the uncontrollable urge to pin the gas pedal to the floorboard when the guitars start playing on "Put Up or Shut Up", "TNT Overture", or "Heads Will Roll". While not endorsed by the National Highway Safety Commission, it does make being stuck in traffic much more enjoyable. Before long, the person in front of you with the blinker going for the last 20 minutes while you have only moved 30 feet just doesn't seem to matter. You will find yourself tapping the toes, drumming on the steering wheel, air guitar on the seat belt, and singing along with "Flying Lip Lock" or "Land of a Thousand Dances" and have a smile on your face. If you like Ted Nugent, you will like this album.

The Nuge at his best!,

This review is from: Intensities in 10 Cities (Audio CD)
This is all-out, cocked, locked, and ready-to-rock Gonzo Tedly at his finest. Songwriting prowess? We don't need none of that - each and every song is an excuse for a guitar solo, the way Nuge music was intended. If you're looking for well-thought melodies and depth in lyrics, go find Cat Stevens. If you want your rock loud, raw, and Nugified, look no further. This is the real thing.

Ted Nugent - 'Intensities In Ten Cities' (Sony),
By
This review is from: Intensities in 10 Cities (Audio CD)
Not as good as his 'Double Live Gonzo' (see my review), but still worth your time to check it out. First off, I never realized that all ten cuts here are original material. That's usually taking a major risk with fans. I mean, let's face it, most people buy a live album to hear live versions of songs they're familiar with. Right? Either way, 'Intensities In Ten Cities' is a decent record. Tracks that I dug the most were "Put Up Or Shut Up", good 'ol Uncle Ted's love song "My Love Is Like A Tire Iron", "Jailbait", "Heads Will Roll" and his remake of an old Motown classic "Land Of A 1000 Dances". Line-up: Ted - guitar & vocals, Charlie Huhn - rhythm guitar & vocals, Dave Kiswiney - bass&vocals and Cliff Davies - drums. Good to pull out and play every now and then.
