5.0 out of 5 stars Mitch Harris....The Grind King!!!!!!, August 3, 2004

I've had this album for awhile now but started listening to it again. Aside from the horrible cover art this is some top notch stuff!! What i find so hard to believe is that in the linear notes it says: ALL music is Performed and Arranged by Mitch Harris. He plays Bass, Drums, Guitar & Vocals!! I never knew Mitch was so talented. The drumming is killer!! The vocals are way different from Purity Dilution, the more i listen to it the more the new style grows on me. Anyways if you don't have this album all ready....You Suck!!! Now go buy it!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Grindcore! Fans of Napalm Death TAKE NOTICE!!!!, January 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Intention Surpassed (Audio CD)
I have only recently become extremely involved in seeking out grindcore. Prior to the last year, year and a half, there were only a few grindcore bands out there I really took an interest in and during my search for other bands I located this gem. I am familiar with Mitch Harris' work with Napalm Death so I decided to give these guys another go around. I tried listening to them when I was younger but I didn't appreciate grindcore for what it is back then, nearly 20 years ago when I first bought Purity Delution and quickly sold it. Again, my young age and lack of appreciation.
With that said, this album has it all and Harris does not disappoint in the least. He manages to craft very well written songs with "groove" of all things. This is a lot more brutal than Napalm Death. This album is extremely underrated as well which I think is from the lack of promotion and backing on the labels part. Take for instance the crappy cover art, first impressions are a must and this cover just does not reflect the excellent music inside. Any fan of grind or just a well rounded Naplam Death / Terrorizer fan will love this album. Moreover, pick up the first one, Purity Delution, for starters because the vocals on this one take a little getting used too.
This leads me to my only issue with the album, the vocals. They are not bad by any means, brutal and raspy like many other bands, but they don't vary much which I think is a negative. The vocals should have been changed up a little which would have only complemented this excellent album. Regardless, you should buy this album if your music tastes sit anywhere near great grind acts like, Kill The Client, Mumakil, Squash Bowels, Brutal Truth, Defeatist and of course the mighty NAPALM DEATH!
