I tried two of these cables on two different tv's with two different dreamcast systems. The s-video never worked but the a/v was fine. My original a/v cables are fine, so what I was looking for was an s-video cable. Therefore, I was very unhappy with this product and the fact that when the s-video was plugged in I only got a fuzzy black and white picture. If you are only looking for a/v cables this product is fine. If you are wanting s-video, like I was, this is not for you.

I lost my Dreamcast A/V cords,(yeah I know, for shame), and I needed a replacement and this works just fine. I will, however, agree with the reviews that state the cords do seem cheaply made but as long as you treat them right, that is no daily plugging and unplugging or pulling on the cords to unplug them, they will last.

I lost my old cable and just ordered this 1. i can finally play my games and beat my sister!! im so glad i found this cable and at a good price. it was easy to plug in, even my niece can do it.

I can finally play my Dreamcast on a clear screen. These cables are not rinky dink like some reviewers have noted, they may have gotten a different brand, but these ones are pretty heavy duty. The S-video seems to be working fine. I recommend them for all retro-gamers.

This A/V cable works perfectly. I would have thought that it would work for a few minutes and then start to not work, but it works quite well! The only problem was the S-Video. Instead of being clear, it was kind of blurry and not in color.

If have a Dreamcast, you owe it to yourself and the system to get this cable for the S-video. I don't have a VGA port on my main TV otherwise, I would have went that route. It is a night and day difference over the composite picture quality though. I was skeptical at first because other reviewers couldn't get the S-video to work. It works fine for me with my philips 42 inch LCD TV. The dreamcast is my favorite classic system and it will be getting more play time now since I can look at the graphics and not be disgusted. Sword of the Berserk, Sonic Adventure, Gauntlet Legends, etc. all look great. The cables aren't as solid as the ones that came with the system but, they are of decent quality. Buy these now!

The product is not what advertised. I bought this for the S-Video for my dreamcast but it DID NOT work!! Only the AV connector worked. It was cheap so it's not worth my hassle for me to return it. I gave this seller a neutral review and now he's begging to reverse the review. That's not going to happen. That's what you get for selling a cheap low grade product.

I think that they must have changed the cable that they ship out for the Dreamcast as mine came yesterday and was much different than what's been described in other reviews. Some have stated that the cable did not come in a box and the cables were rather thin and weak whereas mine came professionally boxed and sealed and the cable is quite bulky and durable. The picture quality looks great with this cable and I have yet to have any problems with it after a solid day of use. I would highly recommend this for anyone that lost/broke their original AV cables and can't find a replacement.

I don't know why people are complaining about how it is cheap made. WHO CARES, as long it works, who cares about how it look or how it feel.

This product works as advertised. I haven't had any problems with the connections fitting into the inputs on the TV or the output on the dreamcast. Product may not be aesthetically appealing (looks cheap, some of the wires are very thin) but it connects the dreamcast to the tv and allows you to play your dreamcast.
