Got mine from Bed Bath & Beyond for about the same price -- plus tax/minus shipping. Glad to see they have it here. After about 3 years, the suction cups finally stopped sticking to the sink but it's had a good run for the price. It remains unrusted and otherwise in it's original state as the day I purchased it. It allows the sponge to dry well without creating a place to accelerate bacteria growth. I also rinse the sponge well between uses with a small squirt of bleach gel and microwave daily for a minute to kill bacteria being harbored in the sponge. This steel sponge holder is a great way to minimize germs and bacteria while storing efficiently in a location of your choosing. It's durable, stylish, shiney/clean/new looking, and in my opinion, flawless. I wish I could just buy the suction cups without the sponge holder since those are the only things that need replacing.

I wanted something to hold a sponge and metal scrub pad so that they didn't make a mess of the back of my sink, and don't sit in a pool of dirty water. This solved the problem for me. It's large enough to hold those two items, and yes, it does stay stuck to the side of my steel sink (at least so far, after a couple of months). It doesn't rust, it's solid, and I recommend it.

Update:

After several months of use I'm still happy with this, although I've found that in order to keep the suction cups working well, I have to clean them once in a while. Not a lot to ask.

Second update:

I've been using this for a year on my stainless steel sink. About once every couple of weeks it slides down. I wash the suction cups and the part of the sink where I want it to stick and it's good for another couple of weeks. The suction cups are definitely flattening, though, and if I can find some reasonably priced replacements I'll get them.

Third update:

After about a year the suction cups were flat and would no longer stick. I removed them and found two small suction cups with steel hooks at the hardware store and hung the basket on the hooks. Works fine and should be good for at least another year.

I should have known better than to get a product that uses suction cups. The cups, despite being moistened, didn't hold against smooth and cleaned tiles or porcelain. Couldn't even stay stuck for 12 hours.

Also, the design is poor as the suction cups are located too low and therefore the rack will tilt forward rather than stay parallel to the wall's surface.

Too cheap to return but hopefully someone else will learn from my experience and avoid.

A lovely sponge holder, which won't stay atattched to stainless steel sink.. it is sitting on top of sink, with a sponge in it; not what i had in mind.

I would like to thank another reviewer for giving me the idea to use vacuum grease on the suction cups. Without the grease these suction cups would not hold very well to the side of my stainless steel sink. You don't need too much. Just a thin film on the outer edge of the suction cups will do the job.

Now the only question I have is how long will the stainless steel be rust free. The product description doesn't say the grade of stainless steel used, 316? 305?

Wanted to love it, but the suction cups don't work. It doesn't hold up the weight of a sponge, it slides off my stainless steel sink.

I bought this sponge holder to clear the clutter off my counter top and to help eliminate the moldy sponge smell. It's the best looking sponge holder I've seen, sturdy and well made. Unfortunately, my sponge still gets smelly, but not as quickly as without the holder.
