5.0 out of 5 stars Adjusting Shower
I am 6'5" and have had this for years. If you need the adjustment and are wondering why every builder and bathroom designer forgets about you, this is for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Small & Leaks
Just got this. The head is much smaller than I though it would be, I didn't look at the dimensions when buying but it is only 3.5" round, I thought it would be slightly bigger. It also leaks where it bends, but not horrible (I think most, or all leak eventually anyways). It has good water pressure after I took out the little black ring, and it really does swivel just...

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this shower head, June 16, 2008

I have purchased many other shower heads and nothing is as great as this one. You do have to remove the small disk (flow mimimizer) for greater performance. It feels like your in a rain shower. It is fantastic for the price paid. I have purchased other expensive ones and none compare to this one. Great product, great price.

4.0 out of 5 stars good, but not everything i had hoped for, June 2, 2009

I just installed this, and also removed the water restricting piece. After reading the reviews, I expected truly amazing. What I got was quite good, especially for the price.

If you are looking for the rain effect, this does put out a lot of water in a large spray. However, if what you are looking for is invigorating pressure, then this is only okay. Compared to my old shower (turned to high), the pressure is slightly less, but the diameter is much more. Satisfied overall for the price.

UPDATE - I eventually stopped using this. This shower head is good you want a lot of water in a wide spray, but pretty average if what you want is strong pressure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap Way to Gain Height and a Decent Rain Shower, May 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Interbath All Directional Chrome Showerhead (Misc.)
After moving into a new apartment, I discovered to my dismay that the shower had been designed for someone 5 feet tall. After a few days of hunching to get my head under a shower head pointed squarely at my shoulder blades, I started the search for something to extend the height of the shower. I stumbled across this unit while looking at extending arms that cost more without a head. I was interested in a new shower head anyway, so I pulled the trigger on this one.

SETUP:
Setup was easy, and it took me 2 minutes to remove the pre-assembled arm and showerhead from the box, and connect it to the shower outlet. I then adjusted the arm to an ideal height and angle, and twisted the two wing nuts to tighten them into place.

QUALITY:
The unit stays in place on its own, although it doesn't seem like it would hold up to repeated adjustment. There were no visible leaks in the hinges or otherwise. Although made of brass inside, the finish feels fairly cheap.

SIZE:
One thing that might be unclear from the photos is the size of this unit. The arm extends about 9 inches, and the head is fairly small, less than 3 inches in diameter. The angle set the spray perfectly above my head.

RAIN vs PRESSURE:
It should be clear that this is a "rain" type showerhead, and not a "pressure" type. It has many small openings that gently pour water on the user, rather than blast a powerful spray. Even with the small pink flow limiter removed from the unit, you still won't do better than medium-low pressure with this showerhead. I would prefer closer to a medium-high pressure, but I can still get a decent shower with this showerhead. One thing to note is that you cannot remove the showerhead and add a different one; it won't fit the connector.

Overall I'm happy with this unit and the fact that I paid less than half the price of what its parts would have cost separately. If you need adjustability and like rain showers, this is the unit for you. If you need lots of pressure or plan to move the arm a lot, look elsewhere.

Well, I got this but remained skeptical because of some of the negative reviews. I think the trick with getting this shower head is to realize you are not going for pressure. There is pressure, and it is great, but it really is a totally different experience than a normal shower head. I am fortunate to have a 6 1/2' shower head spout, so I did not need the extension bar to give me height, but (and this is the important part that I think others may miss), this allowed me to put it straight out from the wall. It may be important to note that I am just over six foot, and it does feel a little unusual at first having a shower head directly above you and so close. Thus, I can point the shower head straight down, and get a full rainfall effect. I can totally see where angling the head may cause issues, especially if you are expecting a powerful jet. It will not deliver if this is the case. However, having the head directly, well, overhead amplifies the experience. Another great thing is it almost partitions off half the shower, so I can get a good lather without it all washing away.

Of course, it could be bigger (twice the size) and could be stylized a little. But if you can live with a hockey-puck on a stick, and have a tall enough shower head mount, than this may be a great alternative to the more expensive (4-8 times more) downpour heads. I think the price makes up for the short comings big time.

It also leaks where it bends, but not horrible (I think most, or all leak eventually anyways). It has good water pressure after I took out the little black ring, and it really does swivel just about any direction. For $17 it isn't bad, and my wife says it looks fancy.

Pros...Silver, Design, only get this if your being cheap and have a very small bathtub.
Cons...Length is to small, the tabs to hold the shower head in place aren't strong at all, I was expecting to feel like I was taking a shower under a waterfall and got a feel of someone pouring a cup of water over my head.

Seriously only if your reallyyy trying to save money! That was my mistake.

5.0 out of 5 stars a great shower head, August 31, 2009

This is just what I was looking for! Most shower heads don't spray out of the middle of the head, forcing you to move around to get throughly rinced. This one does and does it like a good rain shower. It feels really gentle on your face and everywhere else too. Three different pivot point allow you to rince the walls of the shower also, which makes cleaning easier.
I highly recommend it!

This is a very nice looking shower head that performs beautifully with one very small modification - removing the tiny rubber restricting washer. With the washer in place the shower head can really only be used pouring straight down which makes it difficult to clean everywhere effectively or wash while letting conditioner set. With the washer removed the head angle can be changed to fire forward. The double hinged arm does allow one to adjust the head to the perfect position for your height and preference. I wish it was available with a shorter arm for those who do not need such a extensive reach. A steal for the money. Will definitely buy more.

I bought this showerhead about 2 years ago after trying 3 or 4 others from my local Home Depot. I could never get enough water pressure, even after taking the water saver out of the other showerheads. This rainfall showerhead beats all the others hands down with respect to water pressure and overall experience. My sister has an expensive, custom bathroom with a rainfall showerhead. This one is not as good as hers, but it's certainly a fantastic value for the price. I just installed one in my girlfriends shower and she really likes it too.
