Pebblz Graphite Sink Mat Large - Put Rust spots all over my New Stainless Steel Sink!,
By
This review is from: Interdesign 60663 Pebblz Sink Mat (Kitchen)
I bought 2 of these in large for my newer stainless steel sink in the graphite color. I liked the look of them. However after a few weeks I noticed a rust spot, then I left it on for another week and now there are many rust spots all over my sink. So far, they have not come out and these mats ruined my beautiful sink. I am going back to the Rubbermaid ones I've always used. Now I have to figure out how to get the rust out of my $350 sink. So far, Dawn and Comet have done nothing. Please do not buy this item if you have a stainless steel sink, it will rust it! This item needs to have a disclaimer on it or be taken off the market. PLEASE DO NOT BUY!! RUBBERMAID IS MUCH BETTER!!

Pebble Sink Mat - Large - Graphite - (Graphite)
This stinks, it stained from spaghetti sauce. I have scrubbed with cleanser and bleach and boiling water, nothing works. I would not buy this again.

Love these sink mats - but yes, they can stain if you dump sauce on and don't clean it off!,

I don't understand all the negative reviews. I ordered a half dozen just to make sure I always have one!
Yes, they get stained if you leave them in the sink and dump spaghetti sauce on it and don't wash it off right away...but any mat that isn't metal would do that. If I am making something with sauce - I just take it out of the sink and roll it up behind the faucet...doesn't get much easier than that... A sink mat is a disposable item - I expect to replace it every year. I may get 2 years if I'm good at picking it out of the sink for messy food - but if I forget to pick it up, that's my fault, not the mats...
