I was very skeptical about this product sealing holes in such a high pressure system as an auto a/c but this stuff has saved me thousands of dollars. I have a 1997 Suburban that has had several small leaks for the past 2 years. This spring, however, when I had the system charged, the mechanics showed me a new leak in the rear line that was literaly pouring out. It would not hold refrigerant at all. Repairs being ruled out by the cost I decided I had nothing to lose in trying the Super Seal. I added a can and charged the system. All of the old leaks sealed up completely but the rear line still had a very small leak. I called the manufacturer to ask if perhaps a second can was recomended since my front and rear air system was about twice the average size. I was actualy told that a leak as large as mine would probably not seal. After hanging up the phone I thought "Well, it's not a large leak any more but a small one so maybe it will work", still having nothing to lose I added a second can and the leak sealed completly before I finished adding the refrigerant. It has been blowing ice cold for three weeks now and I have recently checked the pressure and found it has not lost anything at all.
This is a great product that actualy does what it claims and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is in need of major repairs of great expense.

This is an update to the review I wrote in May: It's now near the end of September and though I don't need the a/c as often, it is still blowing ice cold. I have been on many long, family road trips this summer and the front and rear air have been fine. Having lost no refridgerant whatsover by now I feel safe in saying this has been a permanent fix.

April 22, 2010 update.... 80 degree weather over Easter weekend and a/c still blowing cold. This stuff is amazing!

July 15, 2010 update..... record hot and humid summer so far and still staying cool. Went on a long family vacation last week and my kids kept telling me they were cold every time I had the rear air too high.

August 5, 2010 update......10 days ago I noticed a fresh, wet spurt of the green Super Seal dye that had leaked out of the front of my compressor. I rinsed it off thoroughly and watched for more to show up and none has. It must truely seal new leaks as they appear because there has been no further sign of the new leak and it has been in the 90's all week and the air is still fine. Comforting to know! The compressor would have been a costly repair. I'll only mention the new leak again if there is any change but it seems unlikely.

July 1, 2011 update......last fall the leak in the compressor became worse and I was told that it was a bearing in the clutch which is a moving part. The compressor still ran great but was leaking refrigerant. This April I bought a brand new compressor at Auto Zone for $170 and had someone install it for $50 plus refrigerant. I also threw in another can of Super Seal for good measure since I likely lost most of it in the process. I am still thousands of dollars ahead and have had no problems (and we have taken several very long trips in hot, humid weather). Also, my mother's 2000 Chevy Impala wouldnt blow cold air this spring and wouldn't hold refrigerant for a day so Super Seal came to the rescue....It's been working great for six weeks now!

I had a crack in my '98 Malibu condenser core, installed this stuff and it sealed the crack. I did have to run the car for a couple of hours before it fixed the leak. The packaging said it would not fix leaks that leaked in less then 2 weeks. Mine was down to 15Lbs after one day. The review bellow may have had lots of air/moisture in the system when the sealer was installed. Follow the directions!

So I didn't actually purchase this from Amazon but I figured that I will leave a review since it worked for me. I bought this exact same product from Walmart and I think it might have been $23 or so. Anyways, my girlfriend's 1994 Acura Integra's AC had stopped working for over a year now and she was quoted $600+ to get it fixed. I figured that I should buy this and give it a try. Along with super seal, I also purchased two cans of ARTIC FREEZE R134A REFRIGERANT - 12 OZ..

Before using super seal, I first tested to see if there was any pressure left in the AC system but it showed Zero. I followed the instructions to a tee and held the can upside down and inserted the hose kit to the low pressure side. Within seconds the system sucked up all of the sealer.

The next step on the instructions was to quickly add r134a refrigerant which I did (ARCTIC FREEZE/EZ Chill). After adding the first can, the pressure jumped up to around 34 psi. I added another can and it reached somewhere around 45 psi.

While you're doing all this, you're also supposed to have your AC turned on to max by the way. So praying that everything worked, I decide to get in the car and low and behold, ice cold air started blowing out from the vents!

You are also supposed to keep your car running with the AC on for about 15 minutes. Since it was a really hot day, I took the car out for a quick drive with the AC still blowing on max and ice cold air kept coming out.

About 5 hours later, we tested the AC again and it's still blowing cold air!

I will try my best to continue to update this review. I will most likely post an update in a week and if it's still holding by then, I'm going to assume that it will hold for at least a year or so.

The refrigerant in my 99 Mercedes Benz E320 was leaking out in about 3 weeks. No need to get into how many arms & legs MB wants to fix this. Put in a can of sealer, and no drop in pressure after a year. MB has a self-monitoring system built into the a/c control display, anf all parameters (temp, pressure, etc) are unchanged after all this time.

Well, after many tries and products, along with being inches away from springing for a new compressor, I thought why not try this one. (I had used the green stuff by this company @ $40.00 to no avail).... and a few refill cans later.

Anyway, having to go a long way at the 100+ degree days a few weeks ago I put this in and two refills and by gum! It's holding! (I hope I haven't jinxed it now) :)


Now I don't know if it was the combination of the two or just this alone, but it sure seems to me at worst, a couple of these and you'll be good to go.

I'll update if it craps out, but so far it's bee 3 weeks and it never lasted more than 3 days and the last day at about 30%.

The AC went out on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee so I took it to my mechanic for repair. Turns out to be leaking at the evaporator requiring the entire dash come out for repair. My Jeep has nearly 95k miles and the dealer wants around $2,000 for repair which is not worth it for me. The leak was so bad, an AC recharge would only last 2 days before cooling would stop. I bought this Super Seal from my local auto parts store along with a couple of cans of R134a and followed directions to the letter. It has now been 4 weeks since I used super seal and it is working perfectly. I am actually somewhat shocked, because I asked my mechanic if there were any sealers to fix the problem and he said no, dash would have to come out. No telling at this point how long this fix will last, but I've gone from 2 day leak to still going strong after a month. I would recommend this to anyone having an expensive AC fix to try.

Put it in as directions said now ac compressor froze up.
no ac problems anymore - just roll down windows.
