This review is from: Interface (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book because the intro to "A Time of Predators" mentioned it. It's from 1974 and set in SF, where Gores was a detective for a number of years. It's a one-off, about an ex-NFL P.I. involved in a heroin deal that goes bad. It's one of those 70s books where you track different groups of people and try to figure out how they're connected. To a modern reader the solution will seem pretty obvious, but even after you realize where it's headed, this book is a blast.
