These are great for beginner on a tight budget who wants to start doing work right away using monolights. They have some great features found in more expensive lights such as flash ready beep, flash sync cord, optical flash slaves, and a modeling light that is set proportionally to the flash power setting. It also comes with a DVD that teaches you about photography which I found very helpful. The lights are only 150 watt seconds each so you don't get very much power but they do a fantastic job. In hind sight I should have spent a few extra bucks and purchased a set which has more power. Namely the The Interfit Stellar X series or Flashpoint II at Adorama.

I did have one problem with one of the lights not firing consistently and have to return it to Interfit for replacement. I must say the Customer Service was good in helping resolve the issue. Pretty much no questions asked, just ship it back and they will repair or send another one out. I had these lights for about 7 months and over all I'm pleased with the way they performed. Most likely in the near future I will be buying a more powerful set of monolights. Probably the Flashpoint II series from Adorama which I've read great reivews for a low price.

Got this 3 kit three years ago and it is a very nice set for enthusiast photographers looking for a pair of portrait lights for home use. Only 150W, but I've never been constrained (I usually shoot at less than 1/2 of their power). The softbox provided is on the smaller side, and is adequate for individual portraits.
The strobes can be light triggered which is convenient to avoid cables, but unlike more expensive strobes, they cannot filter out the pre-flash light emitted by built-in or TTL flash units (and get triggered too soon), so you need to switch to manual flash control or buy interfit's wireless triggers (which I did) to keep your setup wireless.
My big issue with these, which I've just found out about this week, is in trying to add a larger softbox. The strobe pivot locking mechanism is all made of plastic and quite weak and cannot hold up the strobe in position when fitted with a larger (heavier) softbox. I'm having to jam pieces of metal in the mechanism to keep it in position, which makes tweaking the angle of the softbox impossible.
If you stick to what is in the box, it is a great starter set for individual portraits. If you try to grow the set you will quickly run in the limitations of its cheaper design.

Great for the price! this thing has lasted me 4 years! The only thing I advise is that you will have to treat these with care.

es un buen producto, aunque el acabado no es bueno, faltaron algunas piezas, como un cierre magico del softbox entre otras, las dos piezas de aluminio que van encajadas en las lamparas vinieron dobladas.
