Sunny says:
I live in Orange County Ca. and am looking to change to a career in interior design. I already hold two master's degrees in another field, so I'm unsure if I need another BA specifically for interior design. I have looked at programs in the area at Interior Designer's Institute and the Art Institute, but they are both $100,000 programs (give or take a few thousand with whatever prior courses they will accept). I just wondered if anyone had some input for me. Are these schools necessary if I want to become an interior designer?

Lauri Ward says:
To tinytv: The Use What You Have Decorator Training and Certification Program offers two fast-track courses, online or through a week-long live class in New York City. The program teaches you how to set up your own home-based one day redesign business and provides you with a system to transform any style home, using any budget. Unless you are interested in pursuing a 4-year design degree this would be ideal for you. You can learn more at redecorate.com.
