A Must Book for NCIDQ Preparation !!!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Interior Design Reference Manual/a Guide to the Ncidq Exam (Paperback)
Well-summarized and easy to follow. The book covers almost all the information you need to pass NCIDQ test. There are 23 (or 24!?) chapters and it takes about 2 months to study the entire book. Every chapters starts with reviewing basics so that you do not have to go back here and there of your old textbooks from schools. Combined with 3-day classes for NCIDQ and 1-day class on building codes offered by ASID, I passed NCIDQ on fall, 1996. I did not studied anything-else. This is the right material to study. The shortest way to build up the knowleadge to pass the exam. Trust me !!!!!

NCIDQ Comment/Clarification,

This review is from: Interior Design Reference Manual/a Guide to the Ncidq Exam (Paperback)
The following is a statement from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ):NCIDQ does recommend this book as a preparation guide for the NCIDQ examination. Overall, this book is a good study tool for exam candidates. It provides a thorough overview of the basic knowledge tested. However, NCIDQ is not responsible for the content of this book and recommends that this book be used in conjunction with other study materials. The sample questions and problems included in the book are not written by NCIDQ and will not appear on the examination. Any technical inaccuracies (including answers to the sample questions/problems) are the responsibility of the author. NCIDQ does not warrant or guarantee that reliance on this or any other publication will ensure successful completion of the NCIDQ examination.

NCIDQ Exam Changing,
By A Customer
This review is from: Interior Design Reference Manual/a Guide to the Ncidq Exam (Paperback)
This is a good book. However, the NCIDQ exam is changing -- a new exam will be administered in October, 2000. This book may not be as helpful for those that will be taking the new NCIDQ exam in October.

A "must have" for anyone taking the NCIDQ,
By A Customer
This review is from: Interior Design Reference Manual/a Guide to the Ncidq Exam (Paperback)
Despite a couple of misstatements this book was invalueable to me in studying for the NCIDQ. Although the format of the exam has changed, the nature of the questions have not. The chapter questions force you to really think about what is being asked. I doubt I could have done well in first two sections of the exam without it.

This review is from: Interior Design Reference Manual: A Guide to the Ncidq Exam (Paperback)
This is the absolute bible to the ncidq. its a must read as its very basic and to the point. the questions weer similar to what was actually asked on the test, and its a great preparation. there has been newer editions since this one. but i strongly recommending investing on Ballast's reference manual when you are planning to take the ncidq.

Warning,
By A Customer
This review is from: Interior Design Reference Manual/a Guide to the Ncidq Exam (Paperback)
Despite its title the book is not approved by NCIDQ for use in studying for the exam since it contains a number of serious inaccuracies related to technical and code issues.
