About the Author

Lisa Godsey, LEED AP, ASID Professional, IDEC, IESNA, IIDA, is an Instructor of Interior Design at the International Academy of Design and Technology, Chicago and at The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. In addition to teaching courses including materials and lighting, Godsey is a practicing interior designer and is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC), and International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She serves on the accreditation teams reviewing interior design programs across the U.S. and frequently jurors the NCIDQ.

This is truly an excellent text book. Helpful illustrations accompany already clear and fairly easy to understand text. Possibly my only disappointment is the photographs. Do yourself a favor and have Google image search handy to supplement the dark, black and white materials photos if you really want to get a good idea what the material actually looks like.
