I pre-ordered the August 2005 Edition and I received it on August 1st. I am very pleased with this Interlinear Bible and it is an EXCELLENT reference book.

The print is small, but it is written on bright white paper, which makes it easier to read. The pages are also thicker than my other reference books. It is a very high quality book.

The Strong's numbers are very helpful in determining the true translation of a word, phrase, or verse. Just remember that you need to read the English translation of the Hebrew from right to left. There are two lines of English for every line of Hebrew. So you need to read the English translation switching from one line to another line, per word or phrase.

Anyone who is serious about studying the Word of God should, at minimum, have an Interlinear Bible, Hebrew-Greek-English, by Jay P. Green, and should also have The New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance Of The Bible, by James Strong. The Strong's Comfort Print Edition, ISBN: 0840720726, has a larger print that makes researching the Strong's numbers a lot easier. I "Highly Recommend" this Interlinear Bible.

I'm sorry to say that, as a student of Ancient Hebrew for almost ten years, this work has provided some help, but that some is little.

The problems with this work are multiple, and what I cite here is based primarily on only the first 22 chapters of Genesis:

1. Misspelling in the Hebrew text itself.

2. Missing text or letters.

3. Missing Strong's Numbering.

4. Incorrect Strong's Numbering.

5. Hebrew vowel pointing so poorly printed that it is actually not visible.

6. Hebrew consonantal text faded enough to make identification difficult or impossible.

The frequency of these problems is regular, frustratingly so.

I have the 1984 edition of this interlinear and it's colored brown but this edition (blue colored) is an exact reprint of that edition.

The print is small and the name Jehovah is used in the Old Testament which is based on the Hebrew version derived from the Massoretic Text. The english translation in the side column is the Young's Literal Translation of the Bible (YLT). Strongs numbers are listed above the words and the book is quite large and bulky.

Some people have mistaken the translation as being the King James Version but this is because the New Testament is derived from the same Greek text as the King James Version - the textus receptus. I would've liked to see the Greek New Testament updated with a more recent Greek version other than the textus receptus. As more ancient copies of the New Testament are found the Greek needs to be updated and the textus receptus being 1516 is in dire need of an update.

Like the King James Version the Young's Literal Translation is prone to the use of the archaic thee, thou, thine and ye. Most interlinears go for a more recent translation such as the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) and it's a pity they didn't do something similar in this version. I took one star off because the publisher should've revised this title rather than just reprint it.

If you're a bible student looking to study the bible I would definately recommend this title keeping in mind of what was mentioned in the review you won't be disappointed.

It has ALL the strongs number for every word in the Old & New Testament. The printing is small so if you have bad eyes make sure you have a magnify/ good reading glasses. I Love this book, it is a must have for bible students....Christians!!!

I am very pleased with this recent order, on the Interlinear Bible: Hebrew-Greek-English. Very easy to understand, especially since I am an independent Hebrew-Greek student. I am very satisfied with it, and also in the conditions on which it arrived. Very pleased customer.

This is a wonderful book, all in all. It is great to have the original words translated to understandable English. I read it everyday, and use it to teach Bible study class on the Sabbath each Saturday. The only problem it has is that the columns of text beside the original translation column (a column which takes the translated text and puts it into a more readable English flowing context) has several mis-spellings. I'm not sure how that can even happen. But even simple words like "and" may be spelled "ans", etc. Its not enough to make you want to put it down, but it is disappointing and perplexing to find mis-spellings in a book for sale, in this day and age of spell-checkers and all. Anyway. I do recommend it for sure, because we all need to stay as close to the original language meaning as possible. Just know that this book is sprinkled with mis-spellings here and there throughout. No biggy.

The Hebrew side of this Bible translation is fine since it is from the respected Masoretic Text. However, I must say that there are many biases as to the translation of the Greek Text since, as the preface in this Bible shows, that some things were purposefully changed. For example, the preface admits that the interpreters of this version (who are no doubt Trinitarians) purposefully capitalize Jesus' words of "I am" into "I AM" in the English rendering section because they feel that it should be capitalized, though there is no basis for doing so. Jesus claim to have been existing in Abraham's time and saying "I am" is best rendered "I have been" or "I have existed". That and also John 1:1 where the definite Greek article "'ho" is not before "kyrios" when referring to "Logos" shows that the phrase is rendered "and the Word was a god", or "the Word was of divine nature". Instead, the rendering in this interlinear version by Green makes it "the Word was God". I have come to see that the Greek side is translated weakly and by bias. Whereas the Masoretic Hebrew text is more acceptable since it is more literal and not biased. The greatest example of this is that the Hebrew Text names God, and not Jesus, as the Almighty "JEHOVAH".

I was most surprised to find that Mr. Green used the proper divine name JEHOVAH instead of an inequivalent and inaccurate "The LORD". Very well done. Although yes the fonts are small, you have to take into consideration that if he used a larger font we would have ended up with two or three volumes,instead of an easy to handle volume. One thing... what happened to the divine name where the Greek scriptures quote directly from the Hebrew scriptures where the divine name is used???

I have been a student of the Biblical texts since 2002, having poured through the KJV, MKJV, NLT, NIV and a few others, and I can say this version is superior to any of those, or anything else readily available from retail book stores. I do enjoy the MKJV, as this to me is the next best thing. However, how can you compare having the exact Hebrew and Greek texts right in front of you? This is the problem of modern translations, including the "KJV 1611 AV", which I think is an acceptable copy, but it is not perfect. Why try to imitate the original Old English (which is actually about unreadable being early 17th century English)? It is a form of a transliteration. I have read a Nelson Reprint (an exact copy of the original 1611 Bible), and it is quite different from the modern "KJV 1611 AV".

I am more interested in *exactly* what God said (as is Mr. Green), word for word, than a close translation. So this version is pure gold to me!

Font so tiny that I had to return the book. Would need divine eyes to be able to even read this print.
