The hard cover edition printing is deficient as variations in text darkness are readily noted on many pages. Some pages (e.g. pp. 652-653) bore large ink blotches which are undesirable. The content is from the best Greek source text and the interlinear structure (literal translation) with footnoted textual references is excellent. A superb Greek-English interlinear New Testament based on the oldest unadulterated Greek text - Textus Receptus (1550). A must for the serious student/exegetor of the Word of God. Used with a companion Greek New Testament, Bruce Metzger, 66,68, 1975, United Bible Society, it is very helpful. A FIVE STAR book except for the printing deficiency noted.

Berry's Interlinear is exemplary in it's offerings for Greek-English translation. Sometimes I read the interlinear instead of the KJV English because there may be a hint of meaning that the translaters may have overlooked.

Features about the book I like and use often:

1. The Greek letters, pronunciation and use in the front of the book.

2. The Interlinear Bible itself.

3. The Greek dictionary in the back that defines many of the words, derivations of the Greek word and other scriptures it is used in.

This is by far the best Bible Study tool to have near by when doing any type of study. Use it for subject studies, comparative studies (if you are looking at the NIV or other revisions), specific word studies (to understand the meaning and the context in Greek).

There are very few KJV study tools that are not influenced by the revised text. This one is completely free of that influence and if you are a traditionalist this is definately for you.

I have numerous editions of the Greek NT, but I have a warm spot in my heart for Berry's Interlinear. I've used a now worn copy of the paperback edition for about 10 years, and finally decided to get the hardcover edition for greater durability. I was pleasantly surprized to notice that in the hardcover edition the typeface is slightly larger throughout the volume. The printing in my copy is very good for a book printed from worn plates.

The Stephen's Textus Receptus text is quite readable, and Berry's Interlinear translation is solid and judicious; very little faddishness. Of course the KJV is in the margin. There is a nice dictionary in the back as well as a presentation of New Testament synonyms.

But isn't an interlinear cheating? Nah! When I'm not in my office, and don't have access to my BibleWorks software, and my library, It's nice to have a single book that enables me to read the Greek NT easily. I just train myself not to look at the interlinear unless I really have to, and guess what? I've increased the speed at which I can read Greek with real comprehension.

Finally, the Textus Receptus gives us an early edition of the sacred text of the holy Christian church not much different than the Byzantine/Majority Text. This is a great plus for me.

Why?

There are several interlinear NTs (AKA, "ponies") available, some with words "Strong-coded," and/or more "up-to-date" translations, while others, like Berry, stick with the KJV and the Textus Receptus Greek. At least one includes a rather extensive concordance.

The advantage of this book is, as you can see at the bottom of the sample pages, they have included all the variations in the Greek texts that have been used as the bases for most of our newer translations. Therefore, when you see words added, omitted or changed in an English version, you can see from whence it came, assuming that it is not just a paraphrase, and determine whether the modification was justified, perhaps by the number of Greek texts that support the change, or by looking into the reliability of the texts involved.

I find this help invaluable, especially since the marginal notes are usually vague about alternative renderings of a passage, if they are given at all.

You many find that you may want to use other references too, such as a Strong's Concordance, and a Vine's Dictionary, although the included lexicon is not too shabby, but the extra effort is worth it.

I just purchased this KJV Parallel NT in Greek and English, and I must say that I am now extremely dissatisfied with Zondervan.

It is next to impossible to do any sincere studying with this book. My vision is 20/20 and I still have to use a magnifying glass to use it. If that weren't bad enough, the print quality is the poorest I have ever had the displeasure of noting. The Greek characters are often indistinguishable due in part to blotting and partially printed characters. The English under the Greek is no better.

I also have an NIV Parallel NT in Greek and English. It is of the highest quality, and in comparison with their "KJV Parallel NT in Greek and English" it rates a 10 in quality where the KJ, I reluctantly give 2 stars.

I wanted the KJ because I am studying Greek and I wanted as close to a literal translation as I could get for obvious reasons. Now that I have Zondervans "KJV Parallel NT in Greek and English" I will still be looking for one which I can use in my studies.

Now, considering the unprofessional and poor printing job they did with the KJV, I can't help but to feel that Zondervan is more than a little prejudice towards their NIV since they own the rights to it and no one owns the rights to the KJV.

Useful and very brilliantly done inter-linear NT. Thank God that the text used is the Byzantine Textus Receptus used by the Holy Orthodox Church.
A most useful book for Orthodox Christians. One minus: this re-print is unfortunately not very clear.

To get this Textus Receptus in Interlinear Parallel version helps allot and is a special treat for anyone. The Lord is taking us through big project, a translation of an entire Bible into modern language for my own native country. Many crucial passages which has been attacked by some from Greek manuscript Textus Receptus have been quoted by early church fathers in the 1st and the 2nd century in their writings from this very same manuscript. Some liberals and also other ignorants are trying the claim that Greek Text manuscripts for NIV and NASB and other modern versions, are the oddest ones, which is not a truth. Greek Textus Receptus was used for KJV, Czech Bible Kralicka and NKJV; it is quoted with very same passages that are completely deleted in NIV, NASB and other modern versions. How could Textus Receptus not existed and be truly the oldest Greek manuscript when people in the 1st and the 2nd century are quoting those crusial verses with afore mentioned passages in their writing? . . . Hello, are you there?

Satan has been attacking God's Word since beginning and he still does: "Genesis 3 . . Hath God saith, . . . .?" Don't believe lies of man, God's Word shall never pass away, build your faith on it, trust in the Lord, God is so faithful and loves you so much to a point that He gave His only begotten Son to die on the cross for your and mine sins. God loves you and wants you to spent eternity with Him. I am thankful for this recourse and for joy to have God's Word.

I completely wore out the paper back version of this book. The greek text is based on the Stephen's text (Textus Receptus). The majority of translations in print today use what is called the Majority text, a collection of documents compiled together because of their early dates. I can't imagine doing any serious Bible study without having this volume at my side. It even includes a concise lexicon and parsing guide. I've used it for 3 years now and finally ordered the hard-bound edition. Wonderful addition to the serious student's library.
