5.0 out of 5 stars Great & handy BT remote!
Stores very easily, although 1/2 inch sticks out of the the PCI Express slot. Works great with Vista's Media Center software, with less functionality on Windows Media Player. Long lasting battery, very happy with purchase.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not exactly what it says.
While it works as expected, from the description you are lead to believe that it will fit all the way into the slot. This is not the case. It sticks out of the slot about half an inch (the dark grey part in the picture) while charging.

I ordered the Interlink ExpressCard Media Remote with the Dell XPS M1210, and I've been loving it ever since. It tucks away nicely out of sight inside the ExpressCard slot where it charges at the same time. Typically, battery life is about 1 week, but only takes about 2 hours to fully charge the remote. It works with all the applications I use without any problems (Windows Media Player, iTunes, PowerPoint, etc). I had the remote for about 2 months now, and haven't had any problems.

This is a great little remote, although in the first week since I received it, I've had to reinstall it 4 times. I've been using on a 32bit Vista Home Premium laptop.

It works fine with Windows Media Center. When playing DVD's though, there's no button that's the equivalent of "Menu" on a DVD remote.

Update 12/20/2007: Returning this item. I have to reinstall it daily in order for all of the buttons to function.

this is an amazing little piece of technology. I live in a college dorm that was built in 1965 with 6" thick concrete walls. this device will transmit through 2 of them without trouble. However, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN EXPRESSCARD SLOT AND NOT A PCMCIA SLOT BEFORE YOU BUY THIS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT!!!! This piece will work with newer HP notebooks, Dell notebooks, some Toshiba & Compaq notebooks. Will not work with Sony Vaio or MacBooks. I have to charge it off of a friend's computer because I have a Viao.

4.0 out of 5 stars Media Remote, October 17, 2007
This review is from: Interlink Electronics VP6600 ExpressCard Media Remote for Bluetooth (Personal Computers)
I really like this remote and it is handy but if I want to use it in Itunes
It will work for a while and then all the sudden my Dell Media Direct wants a piece of the action. I don't understand why the remote seems to be tied in with dell media direct but it makes it impossible for me to enjoy this remote outside that software. Other than that the remote rocks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, February 24, 2007

Bought this since it came out from the Dell Site (cheaper price) and I am very satisfied. It solves the problem of having to reach into your laptop every time you need to FF a movie or skip a song. The battery lasts over 3 weeks sometimes and bluetooth connectivity is the best (no more pointing to a sensor - you can skip a song with the remote from under a pillow and it will work)

4.0 out of 5 stars Works fine, but ..., April 15, 2007
This review is from: Interlink Electronics VP6600 ExpressCard Media Remote for Bluetooth (Personal Computers)
This remote control works fine with my Dell Inspiron 640M with Windows Vista. The only problem I had to solve was that the remote was only working with Dell Media Direct (I could not make it work with Windows Media Player, PowerPoint, or other applications).

First, I was frustrated because the Remote Control didn't have any CD (software) with it. But I got in the Interlink website and I've found this [...]

For Dell PC's you have to download this update:

Only 4 starts for the lack of documentation and configuration features.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well as advertised...sticks out of the slot though..., November 29, 2007
This review is from: Interlink Electronics VP6600 ExpressCard Media Remote for Bluetooth (Personal Computers)
Excellent product for what it advertises to do. Works extremely well on Windows Vista. Highly recommend for laptops (needs the pci express slot for charging, guess that rules out pc's). Compatible with Dell Media Direct and Vista Media Center. Charges automatically in the slot.

Negative - Sticks out about half an inch from slot, shape feels slightly awkward in hand

Overall an excellent product for its advertised function.
