These are a great alternative to rugs, or, as we have done, combination of the two is the best bet. We have several outdoor spaces and they are constantly getting rained upon. The rugs we have stay wet for a long time in some of the shady spots, and mildew is something we wanted to avoid.

I purchased about 170 sq. ft. of these tiles and put them under our rugs, it allows the rugs to breathe and drain, so they are much more pleasant to walk on.

The Bad: These are cheap, which is why I bought them. But the only issue I run into is if I step directly on the edges, it will bend/break the little legs that make the tiles "drainage" tiles. I would suggest making sure they are all snapped together and then the edges are out of the way. Once the edges are snapped together such as in the middle of the picture above, the individual tiles are pretty strong.

Next project, slate tile over these for a hidden drainage floor on the patio. Fingers Crossed!

After receiving these tile set, I thought it would be of soft rubber like material. Feels more like a hard plastic type. So I am returning these back. I will find something for my patio.

The tiles chip apart when you walk on them, so I've thrown the whole bunch away after 3 weeks of use. They are hard, unfriendly plastic, and the surface is very slippery when wet.

I bought these for a walkway outside our camper steps. When we camp where there is no concrete, my hubby used to track in A LOT of junk after taking the dog for a walk. Now when we set up, hubby places these on the dirt or grassy ground & problem solved. I just could not believe how much cleaner my floors stayed. They store easy too...just ordered a 2nd set. Happy, happy, happy!!!
