This review is from: Interlude & Rapture [soundtrack] (Audio CD)
It is one of the most beautiful compositions I have ever heared.
My mother asked me to buy it for her cause it has been made long time a go. Than I'v heard it and I fell in love with it. Great music!

Since I can't seem to find the original soundtrack for Interlude, I tried this one. It is good. Not as good as the original, however.
I don't know why no one can get the original from England where it still sells in the shops, but this will have to do until I take a trip there. The Interlude music is such great stuff for the memories. Rapture music is a new treat.

What is truly missing from this so called soundtrack is Timi Yuro's
version of Time Is Like A Dream (Interlude). Listen to it on YouTube.com it is just wonderful. I have her CD of this song but it is just slightly different from the original soundtrack from the movie. Skylar

I purchased this album to get the score from INTERLUDE on CD. I do have the original on vinyl, which I still find superior, but this is a very close second and still a very heartfelt rendition. I found the "Interlude" Vocal by Lina Boudreau quite moving and I do truly like it. I believe the INTERLUDE primary melodies and The Theme from DAY OF THE DOLPHIN (not on this CD) are Geoege Delerue's most beautiful pieces of music every composed for the cinema and beyond. I was not familiar with RAPTURE but I am finding it equally moving as well. I find it very thought provoking and emotionally charged. I have not seen RAPTURE but I am sure it must be pure cinema from what I have read. I find most of Geoege Delerue's music, his melodies, fantasticaly and beautifuly emotional and heart renering. He did not seem to gain the recognition in the US as many of his contemporaries, but he should have.

In my opinion, Interlude is one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever written. This CD, tracks 7 - 12, is beyond belief. Though not the original soundtrack,
just as good.

I saw the film "Interlude" with Oskar Werner back in the 1960's when I was much younger. It was a remake, and I had seen the B&W original, so was curious to see the new version. I was also very smitten with Oskar Werner (one reason I learned German!). The film was so-so, but I could never believe why Werner's character would dally with that insipid blonde fool when he had the gorgeous Virginia Maskell's character at home. But I digress.
Even though I found the movie blah, I loved the music as composed by Georges Delerue. I loved his compositions in "A Man For All Seasons," as well, especially with that High Renaissance twist in the tunes. I bought the "Interlude" soundtrack on LP (gee, I am old!) and played it until I wore a hole in it. Got the soundtrack again on cassette, and played it until it was no more. When I saw this offer on CD, I jumped at the chance. Alas, like the remake of "Interlude" itself, this is just lukewarm stuff compared to the original. Robert Lafond is NO Georges Delerue. The music's nice enough, but I feel cheated. It cost a pretty penny, too, for something so ... mediocre. I wish I had spent the money on a French meal instead of this CD! Maybe I can find the original soundtrack at a yard sale or something.

It is good, maybe very good. But the music for "Le mepris" is better, of course
